Next day we got ready and asked around for fuel availability in khaplu. We came to know that fuel should be no problem in Khaplu but it's likely to be a bit expensive there. So we got our tanks topped up from a Total Petrol Pump near our hotel.
Also tried to get some info about Deosai route and it wasn't good. The route wasn't officially open yet and tracks could very well be covered in snow according to the locals. And we were in no mood to go back via Gilgit-Skardu road agian.
Anyway, we departed for Khaplu and our first stop was Manthokha Falls.
At Madhupur, we left the road and turned towards Falls, which were just 10 minutes away as told by locals.
Now we went on and on and no waterfall was in sight, after riding about 20 minutes, we reached at this point.
My friends said probably this is the waterfall point.
I was like are you kidding me? this couldn't be it. We must go further, and we started riding again, road was going up hill and pretty tough. After riding for another 10 minutes, road ended in a village. There was no more road leading to anywhere.
Worried, i asked a kid there about waterfall and he said that we have come too far, waterfall is 20 minutes back from there.
Frustrated we started riding back,
A point near that dead end village where we took rest for a bit and discussed how come we can't find waterfall??
Only if i had some 3G coverage there....
