Its all about the freedom of life on the road, a personal adventure that leads a biker to the KPK province of Pakistan. KPK is known as the land of hospitality. This adventure started with passion, hope, fear of unseen and ended giving experiences & memories of good times to be recalled. It also helped me discover myself and taught me lessons to be remembered.
On right side is Kohat bypass and straight Kohat city. B.I.S.E. Kohat and Kohat University of Science and technology are also situated here on left side. Kohat's Guava fruit is famous and in season some stalls of Guava are also present at this junction.
Wanted to go from within the city but time shortage didn't allow me. I recalled the memories, I was a teenager when first time visited this city. We friends went to KDA park, Dhodha park etc and enjoyed out there. It is a beautiful city surrounded with the mountains.
At Kohat bypass. Link road on left leads to Kohat city while right one to Dhodha.
At security checkpost just before the tunnel, they stopped me. I thought it would be routine checkup and entry procedure. But to my surprise they told me that I cannot cross the tunnel on my bike. I said that there's no sign at anywhere ordering the ban of motorcycle riding in the tunnel. They said that they have orders not to let any bike in the tunnel and everyone knows it here. They told me that If I want to cross the tunnel with my bike, I would have to load it on some 4-wheeler. I just hate loading my bike on anything but was left with no other option. Had I knew this restriction before, would have chosen another route. But now shortest possible alternate could cost me atleast 150 odd kilometers more to travel and I was physically exhausted by that time. So hired a Shahzore pickup, loaded my bike onto it and crossed the tunnel.
Went to a hotel and checked in. Was extremely tired. If you are not a rider, you can't imagine how much one gets tired after covering that much distance on a small displacement street bike. A saying of a rider @shazimzahir: "4-wheeler per banda 90% aram mein hota hai aur bike per 90% khuwari mein". Forced myself to untie luggage and shift it to 1st floor of hotel, where my room was. After doing that dropped my body at the bed and remain there for couple of hours, wishing that someone come in late evening hours and feed me. But eventually I had to gather all my energies to pour in some energy in the form of food.At around 8:45pm taken a shower, came outside the hotel, started my bike and set off for University road to have some dream food.
