The wind, bike & heart; Tour de Mushtarka Balochistan!
Its all about the freedom of life on the road, a personal adventure that leads a biker to the Balochistan province of Pakistan. Balochistan is Balochistan and words can't describe its beauty, you need to have a particular taste to feel it. Its not a cup of tea, its Coffee. This adventure started with passion, hope, fear of unseen and ended giving experiences & memories of good times to be recalled. It also helped me rediscover myself and taught me lessons to be remembered.

No dear Wadood shah market is so much special for outside visitors...they find many interesting electronic items there at a very reasonable price ;-).
Yar used electronics scene has changed a lot in Pakistan. Once Karachi,Quetta & Peshawar were considered as Hub for this kind of shopping. Lahoris have lot of money to purchase new ones so they were always out of this scene But these items are gamble. You never know whats hidden within the casing of the package; a good luck or a bad luck. So its better to go for new ones as China is giving you products at relatively cheap prices after WTO(2006). I am using a Sharp 110 volt Microwave Oven at home since 90's and it was purchased from Jackson market Kemari, Karachi. Its working very fine Alhamdolilah. There used to be containers, containing used eclectronics, brought by Cargo Ships to Pakistan and were exempted from Customs in the name of scrap, some were of Afghan transit trade which were smuggled back to Pakistan or never shipped to Afghanistan God knows better. Pathans used to damp them in Sher Shah Karachi go-downs after purchasing them from Memons, big business tycons of Karachi Port. Some of these items were sold in Karachi in Sunday bazar DHA, Jackson Kemari etc and rest were shipped to Chaman/Quetta and Peshawar(Karkhano). Some small scale businessmen of different cities including Multan also used to bring them back to their respective cities after purchasing them from Pathans in Karachi. I once had a hobby to explore these items. I once purchased a Auto Car Battery Charger(Made in UK) for Rs.500.
Coming back to Wadood Shah Market, it is stuffed with some electronics and cosmetics. Electronics were not of my liking(LCD TVs, cameras, laptops etc) and were not up-to-date and reliable as per my knowledge. Most of the cosmetics available in Quetta and Peshawar are not original. At Masjid road Quetta, I seen a "2 number" Nivea Moisturising Cream(packed in white color box) and logo of Nivea on packing was telling the actual story(obscurd one). I asked shopkeeper" Yeh tu 2 number lag raha hai". Shopkeeper Replied "Han Rs.120 mein kon tum ko 1 number deta hai, Asli wala tu Rs.350 ka hai ".
So my friend, we belong to a relatively poor country and thats the reason we always look for shortcuts and also thats the reason why we are more intelligent than the natives of rich countries who do not have to bother for many things. Its both a blessing and a curse at the same time.
Bottom-line:Its always preferable to buy new goods/electronics/vehicles provided one have ample resources.
