Exclamation The wind, bike & heart; Tour de South

Its all about the freedom of life on the road, a personal adventure that leads a biker to the sea shores of Pakistan. This adventure started with passion, hope, fear of unseen and ended giving experiences & memories of good times to be recalled. It also helped me discover myself and taught me lessons to be remembered.

I called my relative and he said to wait for him near NIPA or Aladin Park and he would take me from there after an hour because he was somewhere near sher shah. So went towards N.I.P.A chowrangi.

Sign borad is no different than other archaeological sights in Pakistan. Only exceptions are Rohtas fort, Altit fort, Baltit fort, Shigar fort and Raja Mahal of Khuplo.
History of Rani kot is unknown that who built it. Some say it was built by the Sindh rulers Talpurs as shield against any attack from western side because IndoPak has always been attacked from western sides and thats the history. Some say some Aryan warriors built it. The other majestic structure in Pakistan which comes in one's mind after seeing this great wall of Sindh is Rohtas Fort made by the Sher Shah Suri. Some parts of Rohtas fort(like Haveli of Maan Singh) are preserved with the financial aid/collaboration of Norwegian government and is on list of World Heritage Sites. Thats why its sign boards are in elegant condition.

Now lets talk about some History of Karachi. KLP(Karachi-Lahore-Peshawar) road/G.T. road is sufficient enough to tell one about its significance in history. I would rather exclude L(Lahore) from it and would place M(Multan) in it if we talk about the historical important cities of Pakistan. Not a biased statement as I myself belong to Multan but am stating history here. I am not against any city/anyone unless I have some genuine grievances against someone. Because I believe keh khuda kisi ko kuch deta hai tu kuch dekh ker hi deta hai. Aur ap us se faida/mazay lein bajay is keh k ap confrontation per utar ayen. I found Lahoris baray dil waley. But its a fact keh Lahore was stated as a Nawahi Basti of Multan in some historian book written some 700 years ago. It were Mughals who developed it. Pindi was from pind. And Loyalpur(Faisalabad) was a Tehsil of Jhang District when Pakistan came into being. Quetta came into being when Khans of Kalat relocated their capital from Kalat to Quetta only in end of 19th century. If you see some pictures of it at partition time you would find it like a village. Peshawar with the historical name Purshpur has always been a significantly important city because of its geographic location and proximity to Kabul and Central Asia. Islamabad only came into being when General Ayub Khan relocated the capital from Karachi to Islamabad in 1962.
Multan is said to be destroyed by the attacks of Raja Ranjit Singh who defeated the local ruler Nawab Muzaffar Khan in nineteenth century. All of the original Population of Multan fled away from the city due to the fear of Ranjit Singh forces. It is said that local population of Multan, all migrated from somewhere else and inhibited in this city after that. So you almost see all type of ethnic groups in this city.

Coming back to Karachi, known as Debal and Kolachi in the history, it was not part of Sindh that may be a news for some of you. It was part of Balochistan and was only included in Sindh when Talpurs(Rulers of Sindh) captured it from Khan of Kalat(Rulers of Balochistan which also included Sistan Balochistan province of Iran and some parts of Southern Afghanistan like Herat and Farah(British made agree Khan of Kalat to give those parts of Balochistan in Iranians and Afghanistan control). Some people in Balochistan still talk about greater Balochistan like Pashtuns talk about greater Pashtunistan. In short I would say that world at western border of Mighty Indus river is some other world that probably few of you had experienced. And I like that world. Karachi also comes on western side of Indus river. These areas are somewhat neglected in man made infrastructure(excluding Karachi) but are very rich in natural beauty. In azad hawaon ko her banda nahi mehsoos ker sakta. Yeh aik ehsaas hai. Najam Shiraz song "In fizaoon mein yeh kaisa ehsas hai" came into my mind. Agar ap waki adventure lover hain tu I would suggest keh kabhi in hawaon ko mahsoos kejiye and you would feel keh ap pehley kaisey qaid ki si zindagi ji rahey they. Pathans call Karachi-Quetta-Peshawar their homeland. Aur mughey unkey homeland ki hawain aur khaney bahut pasand hain.

Awareness of history eables one to understand things better. I am always fond of modern infrastructure and modern way of life but I like to read history too. Once in childhood, when there was no influx of internet and electronic media we used to read different books including historic novels. And that developed our base which I think our newer generation lacks. Anyway I can't comment more on it because God liked it so it happened. So ap bhi God ki liking/creation se mazay lein.
On a serious note, once our uni professor told in his lecture " Jo chez jahan se originate hoti hai amoman wahin per apni khalis shakal mein maojod/dastyab hoti hai". And it provoked a quest for learning about history of different things.
