A Short trip to Samana heights
Pakistan is a Beautiful country having different kinds of weather,cultures, languages, traditions etc. It consists of Hot & barren land as well as Lush green Meadows, high mountains, fertile land.
Many people have visited the northern areas of pakistan, also people still visiting Beautiful places in KP like hazara & Malakand division, both of these divisions are the beautiful gift of Allah.
Th trip which I want to share with you is a trip to South of KP. Kohat is the gateway city to the southern districts of KP.
Origin=Kohat (Almost 63km from peshawar)
Destination= Samana heights
The trip started on Eid's 4th day i.e 9th July 2016.
The group comprises of 7 riders & 4 bikes i.e 3 Bikes were Hi-Speed 70 & 1 Honda CG125. The journey started at 7:30am in the morning towards Hangu, The road was carpeted to a point named Kacha Paka & after that the road was narrow & under construction. However it was in good condition till hangu, we reached hangu at 9:00am. we stopped in hangu bazar for purchasing some food items. At 11am we departed towards Samana Heights, the road was underconstruction & we travelled on the poor & bad patch of rocks. After travelling more than 10km, finally a sign of old narrow road appeared. we took a sigh of relief, but we didn't know that the more worse & dangerous road is waiting for us. Finally we reach to a police checkpost, where we made our entry. After crossing the checkpost, the steap slope started having narrow & blind turns, the road was in very poor condition & there was no safety walls/polls on side of the road. The scenery was awesome having lush green mountains, after half an hour we reach to the top of Samana heights, where we stop at the Army Checkpost for identification, after that we search for a place to sitback & relax for sometime. It was lush greeen area, Air was cold & the sky was covered by thick clouds. We spend 4 hours there, did lunch there and leave the place as per Army instructions(tourists must leave the area before sunset due to security reason). we packed our luggage & started back our journey towards HoMe SWeeT HoMe.
I hope pakwheel members will enjoy the thread.
