    Default Some brave riders

    Dear fellow Pakwheelers,

I was in Naran with my family a couple of weeks ago.

While we enjoyed a comfortable trip in a temperature controlled vehicle, it was very inspirational to see some young folks who were braving the trying weather conditions on their two wheelers.

This post is just to appreciate these brave persons. Also, if you are aware of who these people are, please share their story. It might give encouragement and inspiration to others as well.

I have used a couple of these photographs to taunt some of my friends, who have never left their 'comfort zone', for one excuse or the other

    Pix to follow ...

    Cheers.

Just an ordinary guy ... @Mak_pk

    @Silver_Knife @vickytulla

    Bros,

What do you suggest for new bikers to motivate them to explore the nature safely and responsibly?

Do you think it is a good idea to travel in a group?

I have this question because I have started taking my teenage son for short rides around Margallas and Murree Hills, before he could go on for those longer, over-night trips.

Travelling in a group is a good idea but it has its implications as well. I'll prefer travelling with a person who's calm and understands the situation. Group travelling is always about leadership. Let the one who's experienced and knows the track take the lead and other should follow him.

One thing bikers need to understand that biking is not about boasting. However you do need to showcase your travel pictures not for appreciation but to encourage others.

Long tours should be the height of your craze and should only be done when you have enough experience, travelling kit and expense. A short tours should be a priority as to know your biking mates and to analyze if the biking relationship can be sustained over the long period of time or not

100% recomended to travel in group

Solo riding is a level up after you have done enough group riding.

This year we were 16riders on 16 bikes and we had to travel in 4~3 packs instead of one long bikes serpant.

for group riding always remember to pair up with the rider who is highest matching with your riding style so you both stay as pair/triple some times 4 riders ride togther but above that you have to further divide and travel in packs.. with a leader and a tail gator.

this year me , @angel82, @Akber, @kashi.khan stayed in the end to keep every youngster ahead and to keep an eye if any one falls down or gets the bike broken...

so yes its totally recomended... but for your little one its good that you train him in ur supervision..

Your words make a lot of sense. I guess one learns about team work and develops inter-personal skills during such exercise. I primarily want to take him away from his gaming screen Hoping that he will be able to develop 'people' skills as well.

    Bless you.
