Had it been extremely similar to the outgoing model (such as in the case of Porsche 911s :p), I know everyone would criticize it for that as well. Ofcourse the shape has to get more modern with time and that means giving it a new look even if doesn't make it look "classic" and don't consider it as an enlarged version of the Evoque, rather as a car implementing Land Rover's new design philosophy and you will begin to love it more
