Representatives of German automobile giants Renault and Volks Wagon have visited Pakistan and have shown keen interest in setting up assembly plants here to cater to the domestic and regional demand of vehicles.
Also, many other German companies like Bosch and Lego are also planning to start joint venture with Pakistani companies to expand their production base as well as market reach.
Giving this information, Almas Hayder, Chairman of Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company (TUSDC), said that the German government was also supporting the companies to explore the Pakistani market.
According to him, a follow up delegation from Pakistan would visit Germany in September 2005 to explore further possibilities of co-operation as well as materialising the undertaking reached with each other during the current event. (ANI)
