The AD van does not possesses the looks like Honda Airwave of Toyota Fielder but it seems like to be a durable car.
None of my acquaintances have it but I have seen alot of them on the roads.

Here is a picture of one that was decorated for a wedding cermony.

About Nissan Ad Van 2006 old shape

My Father really likes these Estate Cars and had used Nissan Sunny and Datsun 120 Y estate version in past .. He really liked this Nissan Ad Van when he saw this on roads ... so i searched for it ..Went to some of the showrooms to check it and have a Test drive of it ..

Its a very very simple car but i liked it too .. feels strong and reliable ..about interior its average too not bad at all .. i liked the dashboard the 4 spoke steering and the front seats are comfortable too ...
Drive is good pick is abv average considering a big body and auto tranny with Ac On ..Brakes are avg not good i noticed there is no ABS mechanism .. Front leg room is good enough but there is very limited leg room for passengers at the back .. yes the back seat is very flat and looks very uncomfortable but its not that uncomfortable ..when u sit on the rear seat its soft and good but oly the back rest of the seat is a bit uncomfortable .. but u can easily solve tht prob by spending some money and then u will be having a very good car in a very reasonable price tag ..even if u keep it original u can live with it its still better than Local Alto cuore mehran cultus rear seats ..

    To summarise it

The car is good , strong , reliable , has a good drive (keep the price tag in mind ) the drive is better than any local car ( Mehran alto cuore cultus liana and even swift ) feels like a big car .. the only uncomfortable thing is the rear seat but i have explained abv its not tht uncomfortable .. as compared to probox i prefer this car to anyone ( I am a big toyota fan ) but this car is better then probox atleast for me ..

U can easily get unregistered 2006 model car with front power windows and power retractable mirrors ( no power windows at back ) for 8.5 to 9 lacs. Get some good 15" tyres for it with either Alloys or full wheel caps if ur budget is a bit tight ..u will be having a very decent trouble free car in your budget ..

If anyone here is planning to buy it just go for it ..Goodluck

I purchased AD Van 2007 model about a month ago. I share with you my experiences one by one. I have no experience with Probox except only a little while looking for an estate car on showrooms. Note that AD Van 2007 is quite different from AD Van 2006 or 2007 old shape. So these experiences may not be counted for AD 2006.
    1) ABS- Yes it has ABS. I've seen some posts which say 2006 does not have them. But 2007 does have them and they work perfectly fine.
    2) Engine- I have 1240 cc version and the pick is good. They call it 1300 cc and i don't know why.
    3) Drive- Very good and very comfortable. Road grip is very good.
    4) Exterior- Very nice and cool shape, almost completely the same as Wingroad, much better than 2006 model and 2007 old shape model. And for sure, much better than Probox. You can see the pics on different ads here on Pakwheels.
    5) Interior- Front seats very very comfortable, steering placement is good, dashboard is much better than Probox, front seats better than Probox. Rear seats are just crap. Long journey is almost impossible on these seats. And I have seen a post in this tread mentioning that the rear seat is better than Alto rear seats, I would say that this is wrong because I have an Alto too and it has much much comfortable rear seats that AD. I think Probox also has the same problem with rear seats. I had thought that I would change the rear seats with some Corolla seats but installing Corolla seats on AD 2007 is quite difficult, almost not possible (As told by the people who deal with seats that AD 2006 can get this kind of alteration but AD 2007 cannot). But I have visited some poshish makers and am planning to make some alterations with the seat itself next weak which will make the seat quite comfortable. I have seen them making very comfortable seats and that is why this is no issue for them I think.
    6) Transmission- Automatic four speed. It has 1D also along-with 2D while Probox has 2D only. For those who go on very steep roads like me this options is sometimes quite useful.
    7) Price- AD 2007 is expensive than AD 2006 or AD 2007 old shape. I purchased it unregistered in 11k. And i think it is expensive than Probox too.
    8) ******* C N G ******. The bigggg issue. In AD 2006 or AD 2007 old shape it is said to be quite easy to install CNG. But in AD 2007 the air intake system is somewhat more complex and, therefore, intalling CNG becomes very trickier. So much trickier that many of the CNG installation centers here in Islamabad/Rawalpindi just refuse to install CNG. But you always have the option of sequential injection system (which I opted for and installed in my AD). This system costs around 30k more than common carburetor suck kits and around 18k more than carburetor suck systems with lambda control. I got the full system in 83k (55 litre cylinder). Carburetor suck system would had cost me around 54k and lambda control would had added 10 to 12k more, making it to 65k. But sequential injection system has surely many advantages over carburetor suck systems. It poses risks to automatic transmission gears less as compared to carburetor suck systems. I discussed this issue on Pak wheels which you can search in CNG sub-forum.
    https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/cng...ssan-ad-2007-a
You seem to be in Faisalabad. So make sure you can get CNG installed there before going for purchasing otherwise you will be stuck in middle because as I said AD 2007 has quite complex air intake system and common CNG conversion centers CANNOT do the job for you. Here in Islamabad there is only one place, as far as I know, where they install the sequential injection system. So make sure if you can get it in Faisalabad. But AD 2006 will be quite OK for almost all conversion centers.
    9) ****** ENGINE CAPACITY *****. Every ad that I saw mentioned AD 2007 to be either 1300 cc or 1500 cc. I went for 1300 cc but, after I bought it and searched on internet its specs, it came out to be 1240 cc. It has CR12DE engine which is 1240 cc. So if you are planning to buy the "1500cc" version then make sure you know its engine size accurately. Probably (I am not sure) "1500cc" version has CR14DE engine wich is 1386 cc. So make sure you know the capacity exactly by looking at the plate for engine number and chases number. I am still wondering why all showrooms call these cars as 1300 and 1500 cc cars. 1300 and 1240 have no big difference but 1500 and 1386 has a huge difference.
    10) Spare Parts- I have not encountered any need for spare parts yet but I know a man who had AD 2006 and he changed his brake pads quite conveniently. Body parts are usually a big problem but I met some parts dealers and they told me they are planning to put orders for Wingroad. Body parts of Wingroad almost all of them fit on AD 2007. But all of the showroom people told me that parts will soon not be any problem as the influx of AD Vans on the roads has increased significantly and the parts dealers will surely do their job accordingly. The parts dealers told me that when some vehicle comes on the road in significant number then they make orders for their parts as they were doing for Wingroad. And i am sure AD 2007 will sooner have no problems with its parts availability.
    11) Average- A friend of mine with AD 2006 told me that he is having average above 14.5. I am having a bit low average (just above 12 km/ltr with A/C). But I have to change my transmission fluid which is currently tooo thin. So i hope my average will increase after that. I will tell you my average again after I change the fluid.

Sure. I'll soon post some pics. Here in Islamabad we have almost same prices for 1300 and 1500 cc. That is around 11k.

But I wanted to make some corrections to my last post regarding engine capacity for 1500 cc.
1300 and 1240 have no big difference but 1500 and 1386 has a huge difference
I said that they use CR14DE engine which is 1386 cc but I was wrong. A friend of me told me that the engine is HR15DE which is 1498 cc. So there are two versions available in Pakistan, 1300 cc (1240 cc) and 1500 cc (1498 cc).

I have a Nissan AD for last three months. The car is very good as far as its looks are concerned, as compared to Toyota probox. the drive is very comfortable. I have 1300 CC engine car. Keeping it on Petrol, no CNG installed. I have changed its tyres with alloy rims. new tyre size is 185/70/14. with this tyre size, it gives average mileage of around 14.5-14.8 kms / litre on motorway at an average speed of 110km/hr with AC on. at this indicated speed, its actual speed comes out to be close to 120 km/hr because of its bigger tyres. however, whenever u increase speed to 120km/h on indicated speedo meter, there is drastic change in consumption. in city it is giving an average consumption of around 10km/lit.
The consumption seems a bit more, but it is not much different from cng. in city if it is giving 10 km/lit. it means 10 rs/ km. in case u install CNG, then these days a full cylinder of CNG would cost around 800-850 rs. and it would for around 100-110kms, so averaging around 8 rs/km. so u r spending only 2 rs extra, but enjoying peace of mind, staying away from long ques of CNG stations, and a lot of trunk space.
As far as spares are concerned, they are available in market, but u have to look for them. Summing it up, it is a good and comfortable family car, with no troubles, perfect chilling AC. almost zero meter car cheaper than suzuki cultus zero meter.
