Default Engine Swap in Nissan Sunny 1991 (B13)

    AoA,

Thread update: Swapped the engine with EFI one after wasting double the money on overhaul. Details of swap from page-2

Guys I recently got a Nissan Sunny 1991. Currently it has a carby 1300cc engine, which frequently gives bluish white smoke, particularly, during start ups. Its very generous in eating up the engine oil.

Many have suggested to go for 16 valve twin cam EFI engine. One guy told me that he visited Ahata Mithu a few months ago and got 12 valve engine swapped for 17k, while 16 valve engine was available for around 24K.

Would appreciate if someone can guide me about best engine (I prefer EFI), the prices, the best place to get engine and best workshops to get the Nissan swaps done.

    Thanks

tauba tauba..... kabhi yeh jasarat na karon bisti karney wali.... wo mera akhri din ho ga pakwheels par....

I was a bit burnt that why you are supporting that hook and crook CNG job ruining indirectly petrol be it what u say.

And I do not know why pindi mechanics are not convinced with Emulator. They are adamant to operate CNG via relay whatevery u do or try to convince them.

Uncle I am only telling him what must have been done to his car. It does not mean I am supporting it. I first asked about emulator, think about it again

Mr @IsbCap is guilty in my opinion for not giving the swap proper time it needed.

Stand up man, you are in court now

You should have completed at least the fuel pump relay part up front providing the engine with its basic fuel cleanly at least, to let it breathe.

Excuses cost us money, I tell u. (Learned from @spectra )

You are right in all your concerns bro. But you can't probably feel the pain I have been suffering in the hands of Isb/Pindi idiot mechanics. I've finally decided to turn into an electrician+mechanic myself.

    Wasted 70K on engine alone.

Wasted 4K on fixing fuel gauge. Result ---- It never got fixed, while the stupid electrician destroyed the heat gauge as well.

So as of now, I prefer that whatever is working, let it work, no matter how it works. Whatever thing those dirty mechanics put their hands on, I end up with more mechanic visits, more tensions, more money spent!!!

Yes, I myself didn't like that all. But what would be other way around???

I don't ask too many questions from mechanics while the job is in progress. He took the pipe to some other workshop, and when he came back, that ******* hole was there for making room for CNG inlet. So what I could have done then???

And costs on unfixed things aside, the biggest concern is the time. On every weekend, whenever my family sees me leaving, they say: "where are you going? we guess, going to fix the car as per usual practice"

Well if that CNG part was so inevitable, you could have been to Kharadia and let him made a steel ring of 1" in width and diameter of the selenoid part part vaccuum hose and could use a hose pipe to connect it from both sides, from Side A you could join that with selenoid part and from Part B you could have joined that to your original vacuum pipe and could make that stupid hole in that steel ring for inserting that venturi for CNG...

Sir g, SOPs not followed because of no previous background. I'll change the whole pipe soon when that kit is no more there, just to save you from the expenses on paracetamol

and don't let anybody know how much you paid for that vacuum pipe to Kharadia. He will "welcome" you warmly once he sees in your eyes that you want that pipe

I am asking you from two weeks what have you done with fuel pump, what have you done with fuel pump, it is only because the most important part is to wire the fuel pump relay and operate fuel pump through ECU. Man, emboss this on your mind today that your fuel pump is running with a direct +12V as soon as you switch "on" your car. It is running continously. So, you better wire that up. Please. And for that, you need to know what have they done with your fuel pump. Which type they have put in, what brand, what are the wires, etc. etc.

    @IsbCap

You should try and understand the requirements and what is needed to be done exactly before going to any mechanic. Otherise it will be same old story.
