Default Engine Swap in Nissan Sunny 1991 (B13)

    AoA,

Thread update: Swapped the engine with EFI one after wasting double the money on overhaul. Details of swap from page-2

Guys I recently got a Nissan Sunny 1991. Currently it has a carby 1300cc engine, which frequently gives bluish white smoke, particularly, during start ups. Its very generous in eating up the engine oil.

Many have suggested to go for 16 valve twin cam EFI engine. One guy told me that he visited Ahata Mithu a few months ago and got 12 valve engine swapped for 17k, while 16 valve engine was available for around 24K.

Would appreciate if someone can guide me about best engine (I prefer EFI), the prices, the best place to get engine and best workshops to get the Nissan swaps done.

    Thanks

    @atta1111

It is great brother. If you have a pinout for this and if you know the wiring for AC and fuel pump relay and power steering pressure switch and others, do charge some $$$ from @IsbCap and do that for him.... and send the link for that pinout in pdf complete to my inbox. Thanks.

lol brother you are a bit wrong here...... The ECU you are showing has four bars of pins on the extreme right and left and @IsbCap ECU has three bars of pins on extreme right and left and more over the pinout numbers for both of them are different

Hey, I was curious why were you labeling it "doomed" if i had this ECU pinout, which I actually have. Have been surfing the internet since then, and found Guncha's russian labelled pinout on a West Indies website

    Today's visit:

    1. Petrol pipes installed, which had leaked previously. Didn't even bother to start the car on petrol for testing purposes, as fuel pump was going through my mind all the time.

    2. Clutch got a bit soft, so decided not to mess with it.

    3. Now the fuel pump. Its a long story. I had to inquire it from each of those mechanics and electricians. And for everyone, his head was , and my head was while explaining to them. (All of them thought, from which world this guy came???)

Not satisfied with their inputs, I went to the engine guy, and again

He said that our only target is to start the engine. And no one ever has come with this sort of queries before. He took me to the electricians, who told that fuel pump was connected directly with ignition switch.

Both of them were Pathans, and I could not understand their conversation. Later, the engine guy told that the electricians have some idea about what you are trying to say, but better find some "wise" electrician.

I then explained some circuit to him, and he happily handed over one fuel pump relay to me.

And regarding the fuel pump, it was revealed that it's the one which came with 93 Corrolla's 16 valve engine.

And yes, same confusion was the case when I asked him for the diagnosis plug in the dashboard along with complete wiring. Then I checked all the engines and their uncut wiring lying in his shop, and none had any OBD-II plug anywhere.

Well, I know there's no Alt+ctrl+delete option when it comes to ECUs. And also know that ECUs are very easy to burn. That's why I double checked before disconnecting that ECU grip whether i should disconnect the battery first or not.

I'm not that dumb to connect a particular pin to any electrical component without first doing detailed study and proper measurements, wire tracing and calibrations.

So suggestions welcome, still I use my brain

And no personal attacks and counter attacks, please.......
