Default Engine Swap in Nissan Sunny 1991 (B13)

    AoA,

Thread update: Swapped the engine with EFI one after wasting double the money on overhaul. Details of swap from page-2

Guys I recently got a Nissan Sunny 1991. Currently it has a carby 1300cc engine, which frequently gives bluish white smoke, particularly, during start ups. Its very generous in eating up the engine oil.

Many have suggested to go for 16 valve twin cam EFI engine. One guy told me that he visited Ahata Mithu a few months ago and got 12 valve engine swapped for 17k, while 16 valve engine was available for around 24K.

Would appreciate if someone can guide me about best engine (I prefer EFI), the prices, the best place to get engine and best workshops to get the Nissan swaps done.

    Thanks

akif bhai do you had the 2005 model golden nissan ? and the nissan DLC3 protocol is K-line (ISO 9141-2 and ISO/DIS 14230-4) protocol.

the original nissan DLC is hard to find these days but e can hook up the toyota DLC3 grip in it and can diagnose it well with any well known diagnostic equipment.

Bro EFi wiring for any project should be a DIY if you want a plain less swap.. learn and do instead of electricians k nakhray aur chakkar

Its doable.. if we can anyone can

and NEVER allow any electrician to touch any of the EFi wiring components

This is getting interesting :-), btw I wasn't' referring to your involvement in this thread dear but when the swap was being done in my b13 near your place. I am waiting for the results on akif's b14 which should prove that you have the solutions which are being faced by us all and we really want to experience the real maza of a QG18, fingers crossed.
And an invitation to a cup of tea is something I just cannot miss, see you soon insha'Allah :-)

I cannot wait to get my NISSAN diagnosed via K-LINE/ISO protocol using ANY diagnostic tool.. we have been trying to do this and has never worked for us because Nissan was using some proprietary protocol.. if this actually works... Nobel prize lalay

Btw, for scanning tool, you can always use an ELM bluetooth adapter plus android application "Car Gauge Pro" which supports Nissan Consult protocol. The application cost around $7. Right now I am testing it.

Please share the results when you're done with your testing. This is gonna be a very cheap setup, if it works!!!
