    Default Engine Swap in Nissan Sunny 1991 (B13)

    AoA,

    Thread update: Swapped the engine with EFI one after wasting double the money on overhaul. Details of swap from page-2

    Guys I recently got a Nissan Sunny 1991. Currently it has a carby 1300cc engine, which frequently gives bluish white smoke, particularly, during start ups. Its very generous in eating up the engine oil.

    Many have suggested to go for 16 valve twin cam EFI engine. One guy told me that he visited Ahata Mithu a few months ago and got 12 valve engine swapped for 17k, while 16 valve engine was available for around 24K.

    Would appreciate if someone can guide me about best engine (I prefer EFI), the prices, the best place to get engine and best workshops to get the Nissan swaps done.

    Thanks

    I'm happy with a working motor. The lessons learned the hard way is "If something is working, let it work as long as it works"

    The slightest of innovation that I try makes sure some big trouble ahead. You guys may be lucky in KHI or LHR to find some "professional" mechanics and electricians. Here in Isb, you would be banging your heads after dealing with those idiots.

    So I act correct in the light of lessons learned

    Got the best in the budget I have, both in terms of visuals and drive experience. Don't wanna ruin it, nor do I have time to sit in workshops for whole days to fix little things and sit few more days to fix the things they broke in the process...

    Happy with a running motor.....

    I would make a fully functional 3-row QG15 with rev limiter at neutral locked at 4k and ECU knowing the car is parked in neutral The list is very long ---------- Oh yes, dis-engaging AC at the extreme turns of right or left by steering and dis-engaging AC on abrupt throttle as well ------ lol ------ u need more teaser ?

    Lol @ professionals. . we do the wiring ourselves or supervise the 'professional' electrician :p it takes quite a lot of personal effort and then some more to get proper work done from these 'professionals'..

    OMG. I'm really speechless ...

    One of my neighbors has spent over Rs. 10,000 getting CNG setup to work on his wingroad. And I'm sure 50% of his wiring will be cut and taped by now.

    Stupid brainless idiots. They would just cut any wire in front of you for their "experimentation" and ruin a beautiful engine.

    @star2

    Do you know the cost of brake pads for this Nissan? Actually I'm hearing strange sounds upon applying brakes (I think it's from the left side), and I think brake pads are culprit in this case.
