Default Engine Swap in Nissan Sunny 1991 (B13)

    AoA,

Thread update: Swapped the engine with EFI one after wasting double the money on overhaul. Details of swap from page-2

Guys I recently got a Nissan Sunny 1991. Currently it has a carby 1300cc engine, which frequently gives bluish white smoke, particularly, during start ups. Its very generous in eating up the engine oil.

Many have suggested to go for 16 valve twin cam EFI engine. One guy told me that he visited Ahata Mithu a few months ago and got 12 valve engine swapped for 17k, while 16 valve engine was available for around 24K.

Would appreciate if someone can guide me about best engine (I prefer EFI), the prices, the best place to get engine and best workshops to get the Nissan swaps done.

    Thanks

Its okay given that your fans are in good condition.

Searched for Nissan Relays, and couldn't find any. Everybody thought me some Alien when I asked about 6-pin Nissan relay.

Anyways, got CV joints kit, front bearing, fuses (10A, 15A, toyota 4 pin relays, a BMW 6 pin relay (lol, it may be of no use to me ultimately), a thermostat valve (they just asked to present the old one for comparison, which was never present in the vehicle ). So they gave a thermostat valve for 2C engine (hopefully it is a fit, else, another visit for replacement).
what 1500 for DLC grip ufff insanity.......

Amp does not says it all. You need to check the voltages at wires when fans are running. They should be near battery voltage

@IsbCap well 1500 for DLC is sort of not too much. It should be near 1k.

In entire Lahore I found only one person who was willing to wire up dlc and he asked be 5k for that. Iqbal Pyara was not interested in this work as he usually performs routine tasks and earns more.

Got myself ODB2 DLC from City steermatic dash. That shop keeper was kind enough to allow me to search the port from all dashes in his shop. Costed me 400 rupee for DLC.

Wired up myself with the kind help of @Xulfiqar. My car had K-Line interface so whole story was revolving near one blue wire with ecu rest were 12 V and Gnd

QG15 is also using k-line. Other connection for OBD-II connector are cel, IGN, 2 grounds, TX, RX and DI.

Initially, I'm interested in setting up the cel and the two pins that are shorted to retrieve the cel codes. Diagnosis connector, I can setup later.

Was checking on alibaba and Consult-II cable + software was listed for $2~3 in most cases. Is it really that cheap??? Or is it only the cable plus it's driver software???

I have the clamp on multimeter, so all you need to do is to place the wire in between two clamps and it will show the current

Can measure up to 400A DC...!!! (as well as 400A AC). Very handy for all sorts of DC measurements. Have many options like frequency, resistance, continuity measurement, frequency etc.

Engine Swap in Nissan Sunny 1991 B13 -1385166

Its Uni-T multimeter. Cost was Rs. 3000 when I bought it last year from college road, Rawalpindi. The ones with AC current only were available for around Rs. 700~1000, but I wanted all sort of options for auto diagnosis.

    @versatile_tuners

Going very slow due to my office job. Only weekends available for some work, that too are hectic.
