Default Engine Swap Finally Done in B12

    Hi Pakwheelers,

Hopes all of you doing great. It took me long time to decide engine swap in my Nissan B12, but Alhamdolillah it is completed now with the help of you guys and specially thanks to Mr Danyal @dani_kk from Rawalpindi who helped me alot in understanding Nissan Engines.
I finally decided to get rid from GA15DE and go for QG18DE in my B12. First of all I tried to find out a nice QG18DE in Peshawar, shoba bazar but unfortunately I didnt find any Chakaas Dana . So i discussed with my mechanic Zahid Ustad, who is really very intelligent and have alot of know how about engine swaps. Together we went out in the local market and met with electricians also and finally come to conclusion that it is better to go to Rawalpindi and do the swap there.

Journey Continues .... I will come up shortly with PICs and updates.

The brake switch has a link with abs system. Not related to your issue. Your issue is tp. Even if tps goes bad in my own black top QG18de the car does the same like your car does.

Yes bro but just think brake switch will have a connection with abs and abs has connection with ecm
Throttle position has nothing to do with brake switch. Still you can firstly see by replacing the throttle and then the brake sensor.

In my case the ABS is with BCM not with ECM I think so. Well I will dig a little more about it soon.

brake switch connection is required in ECUs now - specially in cars with big brake boosters from the factory.

But zulfiqar bhai tps code is more important for this kind of issue, we're ignoring that code and going after brake sensor.

yes it is, My input for the brake was that it is pretty common now in modern ECUs.

by all means first repair the throttle position error.

Zulfiqar bhai I'm just giving an example, not saying that tps in drive by wire is embedded in pedal. It's embedded in throttle motor.

Yes exactly, electrician these days are like they try to extract more and more money out of us. So we should think ourselves, do research. To me straight away it seems tps malfunction issue as the code suggests. It's good that Qamar bhai plugged the port and got this error on phone.

No Problem @star2, so this diagram proves that acceleration problem that occurs on unspecific time is due to Brake Switch Circuit. Thanks again for your help.

The next is Speedometer and might be BCM if found.

From last few days my gennie was giving a problem, like pressing accelerator a little bit it did not take the race properly and giving alot of jerks, whereas pressing accelerator more it becomes normal. Same was happening when leaving accelerator when the engine comes to specific RPM it again started jerking and didnt took accelerator. At the same time I parked the car on the road side and plug my ELM327 in OBDII port and started diagnosing using NDSII on my mobile and found DTC for TPS.
Today I was going towards my electrician and fortunately in front of his workshop while I was taking turn the car jump on the braker and it completely stopped and denied to take race. After alot of tries it didnt even start and seems like its self starter is moving freely and not rotating the flywheel. Well we pushed the car to his workshop and upon connecting my OBDII I found the following DTC.

Engine Swap Finally Done in B12 - c98a394c95e13da1c5eed43e696a6dae

I already took the spare throttle body with me and few coils, because I was expecting that coils are weak enough and may be needed to be replaced. But it wassomething else.

When I asked the electrician to check ETC harness we came to know that it was not properly connected, so he started its operation and open that harness and tighten its clips from inside and then reinsert it. Then he reset the ECM by unplugging battery cable for a while and started the car, it just took a second and everything was normal. The same first day joy of driving is restored today again.

So finally the AC installation is complete. Changed the compressor to SANDON SD507, and kept the old QG18 stock compressor with me. If anyone need it let me know.
Offcourse as experts here @star2 @IsbCap and others said that I may need the BCM (Body Control Module) to control the engine speed during AC is running but all of us know that BCM is another issue to install in B12 so dropping its idea and electrician installed it manually and to control the engine speed he installed a VSV Valve near Air Intake and it started working nicely.
