    Default Engine Swap Finally Done in B12

    Hi Pakwheelers,

    Hopes all of you doing great. It took me long time to decide engine swap in my Nissan B12, but Alhamdolillah it is completed now with the help of you guys and specially thanks to Mr Danyal @dani_kk from Rawalpindi who helped me alot in understanding Nissan Engines.
    I finally decided to get rid from GA15DE and go for QG18DE in my B12. First of all I tried to find out a nice QG18DE in Peshawar, shoba bazar but unfortunately I didnt find any Chakaas Dana . So i discussed with my mechanic Zahid Ustad, who is really very intelligent and have alot of know how about engine swaps. Together we went out in the local market and met with electricians also and finally come to conclusion that it is better to go to Rawalpindi and do the swap there.

    Journey Continues .... I will come up shortly with PICs and updates.

    Power steering isn't a. Big deal yar.. Meray paas do saal se nai hai. Meri gari ne kabhi yeh kaam. Nai kia. Even though abhi bhi nai hai. Ap karwa lein but ussay farq nai parega.

    Missing hai toh definitely error dega. Idling issue has nothing to do with power steering. Fazool mein paisay zaya hongay. Give priority to plugs first. Power steering sensor only plays a role while you're turning the car fully car drops rpm to trigger that rpm decrease power steering sensor is present. But gari bandh honay wala issue has nothing to do with it. I've faced this issue myself too and i fixed it by fixing plugs and coils.

    Yep petrol engines mein, spark plug and coils are main things. Dekhen agar spark sahi nai ayega, fuel ziada ayega improper combustion hogi.

    @dani_kk @IsbCap I have changed the plugs with NGK irradium but still the issue persist. Yesterday my electrician told me that the engine is with electronic throttle and its communication system is on CAN-BUS thats why it is not working properly. He further said that You have to get its speedometer to start all the engine functional. It is giving communication error on Scanner. He said that this engine even control fuel consumption from its speedometer.
    The solution is either get its speedometer or change the throttle to manual. But for manual throttle i have to change the ECU as well as wiring.

    What do you guys says about this?

    Now listen to me.
    First of all some scanners are obd2 only so they give error with can bus system. Secondly meter doesn't have any special functions. The special functions are brake switches and ignition switch has connection with ecu and what they do is idle relearn that basically automatically resets and configures the cars ethrottle. My cheap suggestion is get to zaid, tell him to clean the throttle body properly by opening it from both ends. This will increase your rpm Slightly and car won't drop revs too much so it won't switch off. Try this.

    I will try this too, hopes that this solve the problem. The ETB is really sensitive and its timming can be affected by mishandling.

    What about the CAN error ?

    My electrician is having AutoBoss V30 scanner and it is fully CAN supported. Error dena to banta hai boss, jab CAN ki wires hi nai lagi hui to offcourse it will light up the Check Engine Light.

    Yes yeh bhi hai but meter lagana isn't the issue. Abh aap b12 ko b15 to nai bana saktay na? Aisi advices pe socha karen. And yes etb saaf karnay se rpm thora sa increase hota hai toh it will fix ur issue. IA

    Thanx a lot brother for such a prompt reply. I am facing following problems with my B13 swapped with QG15DE:

    1. The car starts fine. But if i press accelerator immediately or try to drive it with cold start it shuts off. If i let it start for 10 minutes, it seems fine. but whenever there is a speed breaker or any hurdle ahead and i press brake and clutch, the engine shuts off. No matter how hot the engine is. I have got the MAF sensor cleaned, installed new air filter, installed new spark plugs and got the throttle body cleaned. but the problem persists. Similarly i tried to enhance the rpm of the engine to overcome this problem but after some days i face the same problem.

    2. My rpm meter is not working. from where i can get it worked. It has the original B13 meter.

    3. Through the forums i have learned that the fuel pump should not be directly connected through a wire, it must by connected with the ECU. My fuel pump is direct, whenever i activate the ignition switch the pump gets started. It means it is continuously ON.

    4. When i press the accelerator a bit hard, i can see black smoke emitting from the exhaust pipe. Normally there is smell of unburnt fuel from there.

    5. My fuel gauge is not working at all. I have spent 2000 rupees on it, but still its not working.

    6. I can hear some loud sound (khar khar) form the exhaust point (from where the pipe is joined with the engine) right beneath the head of the engine with silver color cover around it.

    I hope you will consider my request to answer the problems. My engine is QG15DE.
