Thread: GRAND PROJECT QG18de being turbocharged

    Default GRAND PROJECT QG18de being turbocharged

    So the project starts finally.
    After a research i have reached to a point that stock QG18de can easily withstand 210whp.

    So i am going to take My machine to around 200 with a safe boost of 10-12psi.

    Things that i have currently purchased are :

    Wide band aem uego afr gauge
    Manual boost controller tsm
    Hks boost gauge
    Greddy intercooler
    Greddy type rs blow off valve


    To install turbo i had to make space under my hood which was only possible to get a radiator that comes inside the front patti. My current radiator was 3 row diesel one which i used long way back on Cd20 swap. So i took the car to saddar and got a new radiator
    The person said it's a 88 b12's diesel radiator 2 row. So now space issue resolved.

    Now I'm going to choose a turbo. My choices are td05 evo turbo or. Ct26 toyota.

    So tommorow have to choose the right turbo and get the oillines, oil out adapter, oil return lines.

    So this is a sports week from university which in other words is a turbo week

    Alhamdulilah looking forward to
    Come in 13s quarter mile range.

    Also have ordered dunlop direzza z1 semi slicks for better grip on front.

    I'd appreciate suggestions from all the turbo maniacs.

    That's 7 years old radiator tried every possible way to get it going but he was too old now like my chasis
    But obviously i love this chasis only in nissan

    Yar change your chasis as well go for B13 for all that fun. By the way on olx a person is selling some good stuff of B11 body parts like genuine brake lights and parking lights also door covers in awesome condition. Select city Peshawar and search for Nissan Sunny and there you will find it. He is from Nowshehra, have alook may be you get interested in it.

    Okay bro thanks for sharing this information.

    And no all my fun is associated with this chasis. I hate b13-b14

    B12 is cool but no match to b11 chasis

    So finally made exhaust to turbo housings
    And fittings have been made for intercooler to sit on front.

    Then radiator has been pushed inside the front patti.

    Condenser has been pulled forward too.
    So now good space between engine and radiator.

    Tommorow have to get oil lines done and intercooler piping done.
    Inshallah waiting for a good project.

    Share the total project cost... Plus all this stuff is available locally (Kabuli) or you ordered from outside Pakistan?

    Yes sure I'll share the total cost when im finished with the project.
    And imported few things
    But turbo is available here Kabuli.

    Fmic, gauges, bov are imported.

    Pipings you've to make according to car and exhaust fitting etc is also with respect to car.

    Yes bro im on it working day and night. Had to make steel exhaust headers for a good turbo manifold so it took me some research and time almost a week. So everything is finalized. Headers are almost complete.
    When the turbo along with headers is bolted on ground, I'll just take the engine out and fit it properly and then will drop it on the chasis inshallah.
    This would take two three days more.

    Turbo i am using is Garrett airreasearch turbo that is also used on nissan e15t. It supports 1.5L to 2.5L engines.

    The smaller the turbo the more responsive the car is with limited Hp gain. Lesser the gain is, the lesser chances of blowing out Pistons.
    So it's a safe project.
    Boost is in my hand whether i want 14psi or 20psi.

    I can get 15kmL on local with QG18de light footed.

    So a very good combo of eco plus power.

    Expected power output is 200Hp on my project.

    Costs will be shared as soon as the job completes inshallah.

    So finally another successful project comes to end.
    It was very hectic job and took two weeks because was unfamiliar of turbo projects.

    The expenses are following :

    Exhaust Headers 8k
    Oil lines 2k
    Water lines 1k
    Turbo 13k
    HksBlow off valve 5k
    Turbosmart boost controller 4k
    Aem wide band gauge 27k
    Hks boost gauge 7k
    Fmic 10k
    Fmic piping 8k
    Since installed on b11, had less space on front so made a radiator metal plate.
    Mechanic took 7k
