Let me break it down for you simple and easy. You can go to study abroad in a proper university IF
- You are among the top 2% among your classmates, and therefore get a scholarship
OR
- You can afford to pay the complete tuition fees (30-40 lacs per year), which is alot.
And you cant work while studying, not to pay ur tuition fees you cant. Most countries have a 20 hours per week limit, so you wont be able to finance ur studies, and you wont get time to do it either.
It is better to study in a proper university in Pakistan than to go in a crappy one abroad.
Ill give you my example, i got accepted in
Accepted in IIT (USA) + 9000$ scholarship per year.
Accepted in UMD (USA)
Pending McGill ( Canada)
Accepted in Nottingham (UK)
Accepted in Manchester (UK)
Accepted in Birmingham (UK)
Accepted in Southampton (UK)
Accepted in Loughbrough (UK)
Accepted in Nottingham (Malay)
All these are good universities all recemended to go to but not the absolute best, so its not worth spending a fortune and staying away from your family, and at the end of the day studying at not the absolute best universities. Getting a visa especially in UK & USA is not the easiest thing to do either, especially if you are a muslim from pakistan studiying engineering. If you do get a visa for the first year, there is no surety you will get it the next year as well. And living there + food is not something i am looking forward to. I am planning on Nottingham (Malay), just waiting for the A'level results now.
My university prep took me 2 years, even though i had a good counselor with over 40 years experience. To conclude there is a lot of research you have to do before you can decide to study abroad.
