I have had 5 or six cats....I have fair amount of experience with cats.
There's "asim's pet clinic" in model town somewhere, dont know wat the place is called. I dont have the number right now either, but its a well known place.
Also I knew another vet who used to come at your home to fix your animals, he was one of asim's students. I'll see if i can get you his number.
vaccination for rabies is expensive , probably around 500-1000 or so for each shot, although im not 100% sure. There's another thing which he called "general vaccination" which is for other diseases etc. then there's deworming that needs to be done, thats a few ruppees for a tablet, you can put it in cats mouth ur self as well, as i have done it.
As far as diet is concerned, I have tried most of the dried cat foods available in market. I dont think my cats liked it as much as they like raw meat. You can get chicken waste from nearby meat shops for FREE!! And cats like it. Only problem is that it looks disgusting/smells and you cant feed ur cat indoors. Otherwise, if u can get fresh waste, its probably the healthiest food your cat could eat. Although there is a risk of diseases. If you have more money, you can buy zinda murghi for your cat...
Also, cats dont eat vegetables, many vegetable are toxic for you cat. Dont try to feed your cat vegetables. Cats are carnivores. Take care that ur cat doesnt hunt and eat outside food if you want to keep it indoors.
Hadiyan botyian of left over food in house is also okay if its without spices, otherwise you can wash it and then feed it to the cat.
I personally dont like persian cats. They are lazy and fragile. You shouldnt have got a persian cat. I have only had normal street cats , have never got a proper breed cat which you buy, but have heard from a friend that persian cats run into many health problems very quickly and are not very playful either.
Also dont feed your cat much milk, most cats are lactose intolerant. that means they cannot digest milk. Giving her milk could possibly give her diarrhea and dehydrate her. I know this cuz when I was new to cats, a kitten died due to feeding her too much milk.
Also, the above guy is giving partially incorrect info. A cat thats over 2-3months old doesnt need to be fed every 2 hrs lol. Thats only for kittens who have lost their mothers and now need to be fed by humans.
your 5month cat should probably be fed about 2-4times a day depending on her eating habits.
My cat used to tell me when she was hungry and never used to over eat, so I used to keep excess food in her plate/dabba so she could eat whenever she was hungry....
Cat body language is very simple. It would meow when she wants food/water/shelter/love or help with something else. She meows in aggressive tone and bites and scratches when she wants you to stop doing what youre doing to her. She would also move her tail from side to side in a way similar to an excited dog. Generally cats dont like to be touched on their stomach. Avoid that, or get scratches all over you. If you dont want your cat in certain places, just spray some water on her when she goes there. and remember this is irreversible.
Thank you and have fun with your cat.
