I first tasted McDonalds in Tokyo way back in early 1993. It was near my hostel about 300yeard from Ichigaya station. Intially Japanese food was big turn off, so hit McDonald daily and liked their chicken curry rice coz the tast was like our Pakistani cusine.
In Pakistan my only Mac visit was at Jinnah terminal in June 2003 while I was returning from Bangkok and have to wait for flight to Islamabad seven hours and I spent most of the night there. It was fun, the food and hoards of people that visited till late night.
But personally I like traditional Pakistani food and dishes and I miss them a lot on visits abroad.
I really enjoyed daal masoor and nan and mixed tea in a Pakistan restuarant in Geneva when went there to attend UN Social Summit in June 2000.
Off all the foreign foods I have liked Italian cuisine so much during my stay at ILO traning cetnre in Turin, Italy.
I will visit a Mac or KFC or Pizza Hut only if my kids insist, these are the last places on my list to go for food.
Nothing can beat our mutton/chicken karahi, tikkas, botis, tandoori, chapal kababs, nihari, lassi, fried fish etc.
