KARACHI: City Nazim Mustafa Kamal has said that the construction of the IT Complex would generate massive revenue, create thousands of job opportunities and benefit the economic progress of the city.
The City District Government Karachi (CDGK) signed an agreement with the IJM Corporation Malaysia and Astra Netcom Limited and Malpak Limited Dubai for the construction of the IT Tower, Pakistan’s tallest building, at a ceremony held Tuesday.
He said that the complex would not only be the tallest building of Pakistan but it would start a new era of economic progress where people from all over the world could start their business activity. Moreover, extraordinary modern facilities would also be available for them, he added.
Kamal said that the complex would bring financial stability not only to the CDGK but also to the people of Karachi. It would have the capability of generating revenue for the CDGK for the next 100 years, he said.
The groundwork of the project is complete and the CDGK is committed to complete the construction of the complex in two years, he said.
The IT Complex would utilize solar energy to generate 25 percent electricity of the required power for the building. It would also have shopping centres, swimming pool, health centre, four mini cinemas, auditorium, five floors for car parking, a hotel of 50 rooms, guest rooms accommodating 65 people at a time, he added.
