Hi all. I've got a problem. My LAN cable broke at a point and I know where that point is. Now what I want to do is, I want to cut the piece of cable where its damaged and connect a CAT5 connector to one head of the cable and an RJ45 jack on the other one so that I dont have to replace the whole cable as its above 40 meters long. Now the problem is that I had a 110 punch down tool but I've lost it somowhere. Is there a way to punch down the cables into the CAT5 connector without using a 110 tool or do I have to buy a new tool in the morning. Thanks in advance.
P.s. The flathead screwdriver didnt work as I broke one of the terminals of the I/O while trying to punch the cable down with it. (I've got a couple more I/Os though)
