    Default Trims in a Mercedes ?

    Well right now i am feeling like a noob making this thread

    my question is that what trims are available .

    classic elegance avegrand ?

    so what does these trims offer?

    tried to Google but nothing popped up with clicked the topic.

    now what i would like to suggest it the all Mercedes-benz enthusiast on pakwheels why are you sleeping ? why arent you contributing techincal and use full stuff.

    best example i can give right now is of the vitz owners CLUB it has every thing about the vitz but i cant find similar type of info about any Mercedes here why is that.

    why not start it now and make this thread a buyer guide and use full for ppl who are interested in buying one or for enthusiasts like me.

    there is a Mercedes club but sorry to say it has nothing to offer who has a particular model or it has nothing i case if some one buys one and is looking for pros and cons.

    there are few topics about command unlocking and few others but they are scattered and there was my thread about a w202 that also did not satisfactory response which i wanted and that question is still unanswered
    RIP

    i'll use the W211 E-class as an example here

    classic - basic options, no wood, grey front grille high suspension
    elegance - the luxury version, burr walnut trim, green tinted glass, slightly better spec than classic (as standard)
    avantgarde - considered the sport version of the elegance, grey wood, lowered suspension, blue tinted glass, gloss black grille, different front bumper design

    Remember, in the E, C, CLK, B, A-class etc the only 2 specs worth having are the avantgarde and elegance. The sport, classic & esprit are garbage and have similar specs to an XLi.

    Do you have any idea why doesn't the US have these specs?

    the US market is completely different, they don't have the small engine mercs, they demand better specs as standard etc.

    @qwertypoiu
    japan spec so it has navigation, specifications are pretty good, but the steering suggests the milage is higher than claimed (though the sats are pretty clean). do note that perforated leather interior E-Classes do not age as well as similar cars with MB-Tex in these hot climates so clearly the seats haev been taken care of by the previous owner.

    seems to be an elegance package and overall i'd say the car looks pretty good. engine is decent but the 240 offers no advantages over teh 200 kompressor since they both have nearly identical power figures except for the fact that the 240 has a V6 (M112).

    as i have mentioned earlier a friend was looking for one and i thought to help him out and do a fact study and also suggest him some good spec E.

    about his budget he is un certain but i guess they can max push till 40 maybe

    overall a decent car, price is ok as well. as long as the car has full service history (from shahnawaz) it's worth taking a look at. if you can provide me with a VIN (via email) i can decode it for you and email you the factory specs of this car when it was ordered from MB.

    @Storm

    I dont know whats your take on it but i've always found the engine in the 240 to be much much smoother than the Kompressor. However as you said, there is almost no difference in power.

    so this mean i can recommend this to my friend which i have already and can give him a green signal so that he can convince his dad to check this car.
