Default Chevrolet Joy No Pick on CNG, Great on Petrol

    Hi

I have a Chevrolet Joy 1.0 2006 Model with factory fitted CNG. It works great on petrol and has excellent pick, but on CNG it has no pick at all. It groans on CNG, even with the best quality gas.

What could be the problem? Any ideas or suggestions?

Also, could any one tell me where I can get the suspension/shocks work done for the Joy in Lahore?

Okay thanks. I also think there is some issue with the intake, because even when driving on petrol, it sounds like extra air is going in from somewhere.

I know this because my Santro's air filter housing used to pop open sometimes and then it would stop working on CNG, and when converted to petrol, it would sound like I have a phhata hua silencer when accelerating. The Joy is sounding the same when I push the accelerator.

Any recommendations on who is great at fixing these CNG matters in Lahore?

Check for any vacuum or air leakage. Or go to any cng wala (as this is not a big issue, very common problem) and ask him to check it for u and adjust cng mixture or master valve if required.
Advancing the timing will result in the more knocking on petrol, so consider it as the last remedy, which is not at all recommended.

    Is the Advancer working?,

    How to check it, ??

Locate the advancer, turn it with ur hand so the lights are visible.

With ur hands accelerate the car, If the light changes from red to green on accelerating, and back to red as you release the accelerator its working, other wise u have a bad advancer.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.
