    Default Daewoo Racer/Cielo Fan Club

    Dear All,

I am an owner of Daewoo Racer since 1995. It has proven to be a very comfortable and economical car throughout this period. It used to give an average of 13Km/L within city and ~15Km/L on long drives. Here are some pictures:

Check the links for my rides
    1. Before 2008 (Racer)
    Daewoo Racer
    2. After Jan 2008 (Cielo)
    Daewoo Cielo

I would recommend buying this car who want a better car at low budgets!

Any member having used a Daewoo car must share their experience....(y)

The engine block of G15SF, G15MF, A15MF and A16DMS (E-TECII) are same except the bore difference. So the answer is Yes! Everything fits bolt on.

The A/C mechanic told you wrong! One switch is for sending low pressure signal to ECM and the other one for sending high pressure signal to ECM. When the low pressure signal is sensed by the ECM, it shuts off the A/C. When the high pressure signal is sensed, the ECM 1. advances spark timing, 2. Starts the radiator fan and 3. increase the engine RPMs

For that you have to contact old parts dealer (some of the contacts are on page-3 of this forum)

If you have SOHC MPFi ECM, you can just use that and no alterations are needed. If you are willing to put DOHC engine's matching ECM, you should change the dashboard also. If you want to use the same dashboard, you need an electrician to do the alteration job. Basically the wiring connectors/harness are differrent.

I changed the whole dashboard since I converted my car to Cielo!

well as a matter of fact HIDs can be installed in any car with the headlamps having the proper focal point... and if they focal points are not appropriate the light is not a beam but spreading in every direction and that is absolutely inappropriate to have while driving... makes everyone coming from the front... blind...

absolutely true.. the GTi version has the same large version lights like racer does, if i aint wrong, ive seen a couple of daewoo's wid the same set of head lamps and HIDz in em, and trust me they have that some smart throw of light rather than a scattered one....
between noman had HID's in his daewoo, he can give you some real picture, see on the first few pages of this forum and you will get to his ID

I have installed HIDs in my woo racer from Dubai Autos , Saddar. its single point HIDs , Normal Tubes on Low Beam and HIDs on High beam, perfectly working. but i put the black tape of one inch size on bottom of headlight and almost one inch on top of head light, its looks beautiful (thinner than original headlights) and will never teasing the front comming cars.
