@Arslan_124The way you quote your problem,if i am right you are using non-EFI conventional kit as efi kit automatically starts on petrol in morning(by default) and then shifts to CNG after a few minutes.Non EFi kit can easily be confirmed by the ENGINE CHECK LIGHT
in instrumentation panel which remains illuminated during CNG operation.
Now in Non EFI kit,the ECM unit detects a problem with the feul pump as it is not functioning and warns you via ENGINE CHECK LIGHT
to diagnose the problem via DAEWOO SERVICE CENTRE thus vehicle shifts in a RESERVE EMERGENCY MODE
to compensate for the problem. This places a load on other vehicle devices, produces low mileage and damage to other electrical/Mechanical parts if vehicle used in this state for longer period.(NOTE:- This REM
state of vehicle is designed to do so as it makes the vehicle drivable in a condition where problem arises during journey where no mechanics are available and helps you out to reach a Daewoo Service Centre
).
In a NON EFI KIT,the mechanic cuts one wire of the feul pump and connects it to the Petrol shifting switch side wire which provides current to the KIT Feul Switch when switch shifted to petrol. Thus when vehicle shifted to petrol the ECM Check Light
turns OFF
.Other problem is during CNG operation the ECM continously tries to communicate with feul pump via different electronic methods/paths which sometimes results in negative flow of current via one wire as may be the wire connected to ECM is still fully connected to the Pump and wire connected via Positive Battery Terminal has been cut thus resulting in minor malfuction of feul pump motor
which needs to be retuned via restting the ECM and thats what the mechanic does for you.
In EFI KIT,there is an advancer which temporarily advances timing during CNG operation thus resulting in good pick and mileage both In CNG & PETROL Operation whereas in NON EFI KIT only one type of feul setting can be tuned. There is also a small ECM in EFI KIT which is connected to ECM of the vehicle which gives a signal to ECM of vehicle, during CNG operation, that the feul pump is working fine thus vehicle operates at Optimal performance without any loss in function. Other good feature include Auto startup on Petrol in Morning and auto shifting to petrol during hard acceleration and in both cases auto shifting back to CNG after 3-4 minutes(in hard acceleration mode, after vehicle operation returns to nomal e.g after a sharp overtake).
But if you still want to use your conventional NON EFI KIT,then do the following:-
1.Replace Feul Filter
2.Keep feul above quarter tank at all occasions.
3.Change to petrol after 3 days for about 5 minutes.
4.Check/Inspect feul pump for clogging of feul pump filter or bosch of feul pump motor.
5.if vehicle low, place extra packing in the rear suspension for increasing height of vehicle.
6.Set timing as it should function in both petrol/CNG modes i.e setting for optimal performance of one feul type will lead to malfunction in other feul type. (NOTE:- mild change in timing can lead to bad starts/acceleration/running of vehicle on both feul types as Daewoo Engine Operation is higly sensitive to Engine Timing)
6.Do not obstruct air flow to air filter unit,if so then place the mild rubber ring in the filter.Donot tape the whole air filter unit as this causes problems during petrol operation(I have only one vehicle on CNG i.e Government vehicle Suzuki Potohar having NOn Efi Kit,when i recieved it i was told that these vehicles do not run on petrol but i am running this vehicle on petrol/CNG after performing my own tune up and settings on it.The CNG/Pertol changing time is less then 7 seconds!!!)
7.Install good quality platinum plugs, with setting the spark plug gap to 0.63mm via spark plug Gauge
.This is also valid for geniune Daewoo Spark Plugs(Champion Ones).Clean /service them after 2000km during cold weather and after 4000km during warm/hot weather)
8.Place Geniune Spark Plug Wires,Do not use Conventional local China made wires
