    Default Daewoo Racer/Cielo Fan Club

    Dear All,

I am an owner of Daewoo Racer since 1995. It has proven to be a very comfortable and economical car throughout this period. It used to give an average of 13Km/L within city and ~15Km/L on long drives. Here are some pictures:

Check the links for my rides
    1. Before 2008 (Racer)

    2. After Jan 2008 (Cielo)

I would recommend buying this car who want a better car at low budgets!

Any member having used a Daewoo car must share their experience....(y)

Cool Problem in Car Fuse Box...

    Salaam to all!!!
I have purchsed Daewoo Cielo Model: 1993 in the month of February on this year. Till yet it was going perfectly but since 20 days it is giving me regular error and problem in starting. I contact with many meachenic and eletricians they repair it but in the next day it again stops.
    PROBLEM:-
Now my CNG fuse blows again and again, I changed 3 times in a distance of 1 kilometer, I am really confused about it, and in the Eid holiydays it stands same like show piece in our garage. PLease inform about it, what will be the major cause.. thanx!!!

    Default Generator Over Charging Problem

    AOA
    <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>
I am facing the problem of over charging by the Generator. It is producing voltage ranging between 16 to 17 Volts. It is the original Daewoo Racer generator. I have consulted with few electricians and their view is that I have to replace it with the new one.<o:p></o:p>
Is there any option/possibility of reducing the current/voltage of the generator, so that it may generate the desired voltage.<o:p></o:p>

    Default Generator over charging problem

When I replaced my old battery with the new one the electrician pointed that. After that I got it checked with 02 other electricians and they also confirmed it.

Default Car moves even without stepping on the accelerator pedal

Do you guys experience this too? Is it normal that my daewoo car is able to move just by slightly releasing the clutch pedal(AND WITHOUT stepping on the accelerator pedal)??? ...I'm just curious, because on my old toyota it doesn't happen ...hope to hear from you guys.

    Thanks again!

The internal cutout is failing to regulate the output voltage. Better get the alternator replaced since the cut-out and/or repair will cost almost the same.

There are various factors involved in spark generation from distributor main coil like pick-up coil problem, module, connectors etc. If the problem arise again, try changing the distributor. 65AH is more than sufficient if you have no extra accessories installed like power amp.

    Thanks again!

...Can anyone of you guys try it if your daewoo do the same thing? ...my other concern is, if it eats up my gasoline even without stepping on the accelerator pedal?

It is the task of IAC valve to take care of RPM when RPMS decrease from it's limit (below 800), to take it back to 850. When you just release the clutch, the RPM tends to go below the 800 mark and IAC valve increase few steps to get them back to 850 and if you press the clutch again, you will see that the RPMS were actually 1150 that under load were decreased to 850.
