    okies...here it is...u know i was telling u guys my cars rpm goes up when i step on clutch..well it was over for a while...i went for long trip to my native city and came back...but the a.c stoped working so when i got the a.c fixed. the car again has started reving up high on steping on clutch. and doing more so on petrol as well...any advise?..my mechanic says whenever it does that..take out the memory chip from fuse box and reinsert it after a min or so..that seem to work initially but not any more...can any one of u know whats the main problem...

    Welcome to DFC.

    @opethian, @guybwp and all other with A/C problem

    There are two switches located at the back side of the A/C compressor. One is high pressure switch and the other one is A/C signal switch. Usually the A/C signal switch, that tells the ECM that A/C is ON, is faulty. The switch tells the ECM to change the engine parameters to compensate with the additional load of A/C. Mostly mechanics short the pins of the switch harness and as a result when the A/C is switched 'ON', the engine does not know that A/C has been started as a result no parameters like RPM, timing and FAN speed changes. The switch needs to be replaced but keep in mind that if the switch is removed, all the gas will escape the A/C lines and you will need to recharge the gas.

    The problem is with CNG installation. The petrol injector is running on CNG as a result the CNG is mixing with the petrol. Take your car to CNG mechanic and tell him to install a relay to disconnect the petrol injector while running on CNG and reconnect on petrol (Take the petrol wire from the CNG switch and operate the relay through it). When the ECM is disconnected, the injector no more operates and you get an even response on CNG.

    yes the same problem was happening with my car when i convert my car on gas the car was still running on gas so from the moon's shop waqar install a relay to disconnect the petrol injector when i switch my car on gas so the problem is resolved and now my car is almost runs on 145 to 150 km/hr on gas but no missing test driver is cent percent right please go to moon's place and waqar is the electrician over there he takes only 250Rs 200 rupees for the relay and 50Rs charged for the labour and its done please consult with him.

    Dear Test Driver !!!
    i got my car checked from Lahore and as i imagined the head Gaskit was burned and as the result the oil was mixing in water ..... the mechanic told me that we can change all th engine seals and install new rings ... which i did ....
    now the issue is .... the AC mechanic (before the ring change) had installed a relay on the compressor's power supply .... with ac on ...the engine is turning off on speed breakers and when i stop the car ... but without AC ...there is no such issue ..
    i have got it checked from many CNG specialists ..but no one is able to rectify the fault ...what could be the issue ... should i disconnect the relay and plug the compressor through the normal wiring sys as in default or try changing the relay ....which relay dou suggest ?? and particular watts????

    dear test driver

    assalm-o-alikum i have a problem here when i starts my car on gas the car's goes at 2000 rpm and makes a very noisy sound as the car is running 2nd gear and i am shifting it to third gear inshort it makes a awefull sound and on petrol rpm is normal but the problem on petrol is something else the rpm is on 1000 but when the car is neutral it(rpm) starts jumping up and down frequently just like something is breathing but that doesnot goes up to 2000 rpm it stays normal and below and if i don't hit the accelerator the car can be switched off but there is a huge problem on gas sometimes its normal and some it goes beyong the 2000 mark what can be the problem is it the map sesnor or is it the TPC please give me your suggestion.

    The problem seems to be the A/C signal switch. If the wires of the harness are shorted, the engine will behave like you mentioned. To verify, check a two pin wiring harness (One yellow and one brown wire) just beneath the A/C compressor, if the wires are twisted with each other (or a wire is put at the end of harness), untwist to clear the short circuit (or remove the wire from the harness). The engine should behave normal. If this is the case, take your car to an electrician and ask him to install a small low power relay with contact terminals attached to the A/C signal harness separately, activate it when the A/C is turned 'ON' and deactivate when the A/C is turned 'OFF'. Your problem will be resolved.

    TestDriver bro i need ya suggestions and help.

    My car rpm drops on A/C to abt half and when the car engine get a bit heated on pressing clutch the engine gets off.. I think the issue is with IAC ? the car vibrates too..
    My mechanic played with its timing too and after that am facing this problem.. Before that the timing was adjusted by mian khan but now am in peshawar.

    Second prob is that i have replaced my daewoos break servo with servo of corolla.. it was working fine and the breaks lines were set diagonal. But now if i apply an emergency break the car gets its tail out from left.. ( Note : all the pads and leathers were replaced by new ones recently and break oil is at its required level )

    third prob is that. The wipers motor got play in it and the wipers now stops some times below the windshield or sometimes in mid and that looks really odd. searched the motor but didnt find one in good condition. The motor has a copper/brass ring that is worn out n am thinking to make a new one like it by "kharadia" do you have any suggestion? checked it it rwp new motors are not available

    1. Dear tauxeef, the solution to your first problem is already mentioned above. The A/C signal switch is faulty/not connected. Follow the instructions mentioned above to resolve the issue. Once the ECM get the A/C signal, it automatically step up the IAC and advances the timing to compensate the A/C load.

    2. The diagonal setup is ideally designed for the Daewoo's own master cylinder. Your setup needs to be straight to run any other non-Daewoo master cylinder.

    3. Although kabli motors are not in good condition, but you can transplant the internals into yours. Get a kabli motor and transplant the connection gear into your motor.

    Hi everyone,
    The radiator bottle (that plastic thing adjacent to radiator) of my car has leaked. Just to make sure you understand, it is not the one where we pour in water.
    I Tried magic epoxy which worked but the bottle then leaked from another place. I believe it needs replacement. Any Ideas about the cost of a brand new one?

    thx testdriver for ur kind reply....i wanted to know the role of advancer...should i instal one in my car? once i asked my mechanic n he said there is no use to install it....wat do u say....n 2ndly i wanted to ask abt my last inquery...u said ac signal switch must be faulty but what if the rpm goes up even when the a.c is not turned on.? do u think even in that case its the switch which is faulty?

    dear test driver

    my question is same as if the ac is not on than how can the IAC valve can effect the RPM yesterday i got stuck on the road and same thing happened no ac was running on gas the rpm went on 4000 and then i converted on petrol the same thing happened then switched off the car and call my mechanic he told me to check the fuses i did so there was no fuse short so i told him then he said to switch on the car and again switch on the car i did this for the number of times i did i asked the reason he told me that the IAC valve some times stuck that's the rpm is high i start the car and every thing was fine for the time being then i start driving my car after some time same thing happened and i bring my car to home at the same rpm 3000 and 4000 it was making a very bad sound but at that time it was 11:30 pm and i was on murree road no mechanic was there today i will take it to the mecahnic but i want your suggestion can i change the IAC valve myself should i bought it a new one or kabli one.

    dear @test driver and @yousafhussain..
    yesterday i took my car to mechanic for this same rpm problem...he simply changed the iac valve..and asked mt to take a tour on my car.the car went very smooth with no problem on a.c and without it as well..when i returned he asked me to test drive for two days to see if any problem occurs..and i ve seen no problem since yesterday..i will test drive my car some more today to see if everything is ok. i guess it was the faulty IAC valve....

    Brother kindly confirm how much IAC valve cost ? Cause I am facing same sort of problem and when i checked the same from Daewoo Fedral, I was told that A/C valce swith needed to be replaced worth of Rs. 2,500

    the price i checked here was diferent...one dealer said the new one will cost 2200 and the used one will cost around 1300-1400...and and another dealer said..the kabli one was only available and it will cost 2000....

    dear @testdriver i have tested the IAC valve..the car runs very smooth on ac. last night even it ran very good with out it. but today i noticed the rpm was slightly raised. not much with out a/c. can u help plz...i mean i m kinda confused. rpm is much better then before but still it is raising a bit.
