    Default Daewoo Racer/Cielo Fan Club

    Dear All,

    I am an owner of Daewoo Racer since 1995. It has proven to be a very comfortable and economical car throughout this period. It used to give an average of 13Km/L within city and ~15Km/L on long drives. Here are some pictures:

    I would recommend buying this car who want a better car at low budgets!

    Any member having used a Daewoo car must share their experience....(y)

    Dear Bro

    I have changed the the rear right side spring with new one. I bought it from Multan in 850/- Rs along with labour it costs me @ 1000/-. Is it reasonable?. Now the car is OK.

    I have installed "Volta 80 AH" battery, and it gives no problem anyway.

    yes you are right its installed in my friends car and this alteration cost him to much approximately 100k and there are some issues if you have to change the belt then you have to pick the engine up by losing the bolts of the foundation there is no space for CNG kit.

    Dear all
    I have a Daewoo racer 93 model in good condition. For the last 2-3 weeks I am observing cng leakage but no mechanic can detect it. I usually smell gas after a
    medium drive (15-20 minutes). But afterwrds the smell disappears. I think that there is a leakage only during driving. Mileage is also redeuced by about 20%. I am worried how to solve this problem and where to go. Anybody to help me especially test drive???

    You can use any DIN size battery with L-terminal. I have installed AGS 555-30L 55AH battery, it perfectly fits in the OEM tray. (Daewoos came in 55AH batteries from manufacturer)

    It depends on the installation of engine. If your friend has changed the required accessories, he will left with ample space for CNG kit in the engine compartment. I also have installed the same engine in my car, with the marked items changed according to the engine.

    I think the diaphragm of you CNG kit is leak, but in that case the smell should not disappear. Are you sure the smell goes away or you become "use to" to the smell? When the engine is shutdown, the solenoid valve close the gas supply to the CNG regulator, so there is no leakage from the diaphragm.
    For better opinion and physical inspection, contact Suleman Shahji @03015511942 at I-10 CNG station opposite to Suzuki Azim motors. (if you are in Islamabad as mentioned in your profile)

    Hi Test Driver, Asad Bukhari and all other Daewoo fellows,

    I hope you are well, yesterday piston of my daewoo's original compressor jammed. Today I visited Police Station Road Sadar, Rawalpindi and found following feedback:

    Eastern Car AC Then don't work for Daewoo

    Sarhad Car Aircondition (In front of Eastern Car AC)

    Their estimate is as follows:
    Seden New Compressor + feeting + service + Gas => 18000Rs
    Seden 2nd Hand Compressor + feeting + service + Gas => 14000Rs
    Daewoo original compresor + feeting + service + Gas => 12000 Rs.

    Kashmir Car AC
    Seden New Compressor + feeting + service + Gas => 16000Rs

    Please advice me to accomplish this task with best quality and lowest cost

    @Horang:

    petromin is available only oin 20w50 grade and its working amazingly in my woo's overhauled engine and lasts easily upto 5k. Its better than Kixx Gold.
