    Default Daewoo Racer/Cielo Fan Club

    Dear All,

    I am an owner of Daewoo Racer since 1995. It has proven to be a very comfortable and economical car throughout this period. It used to give an average of 13Km/L within city and ~15Km/L on long drives. Here are some pictures:

    I would recommend buying this car who want a better car at low budgets!

    Any member having used a Daewoo car must share their experience....(y)

    Thanks dear, previously distributor was between 3 and 4, now advaneced it to "between 5 and 9". and now pickup on cng is significantly improved.

    Is there any harm to the distributir coil of such advancement or any other side effect i.e, long sulf, disturbance to RPM etc.
    CNG setting will remain same for such advancement??

    You are right dear. I

    think sooner i had to change right excell and may go for chinese one as its cost is rs 1000-1200 while kabli one is of rs 2000.

    What about the excels of baleno, liana, corolla or other cars, can these be fitted in daewoo?

    On petrol the engine will knock and you may experience heavy load on starter (during starting on petrol) while the engine is hot. RPMs will also tend to increase but the ECM will handle it.

    @guybwp

    Hope you got the answer

    I can help you in a better way if you post the installation snaps, showing each and every connection. Also upload the pages from the user manual of the STAP.

    Do you have RPM installed in you car? There could be many reasons for the problem you have described. How is the acceleration of your car in other gears? How much it goes in first gear? if it is doing 45 Km/h, the clutch is in good condition. Most probably it is settings issue, to check, try driving your car on petrol (be sure that everything related to petrol is in working condition )

    After looking at the pictures, it has one pin blank, so it is not designed to get the TPS reference. By instructions in the manual, it looks like a timing retarder. If this is the case then the settings done by @shah73 should also work for you. By the way, do you see any wire cut from the wiring coming from ECM to distributor (4 wire harness/grip)? The ECM timing reference wire is violet color that needs to be cut to achieve the desired timing advance/retard by any external device.
