    Default Daewoo Racer/Cielo Fan Club

    Dear All,

I am an owner of Daewoo Racer since 1995. It has proven to be a very comfortable and economical car throughout this period. It used to give an average of 13Km/L within city and ~15Km/L on long drives. Here are some pictures:

I would recommend buying this car who want a better car at low budgets!

Any member having used a Daewoo car must share their experience....(y)

Sometimes there are intermittent error in which the error is corrected before CEL display. You can try reading any error code stored in the ECM.
One more thing, did this problem occur before the installation of advancer? There is possibility that the advancer wiring is not done correctly, and the ECM is missing the reference signal from the distributor!

nops the advancer has been installed for a long time now....and my car was all ok before this head was installed and pistons were changed.....except once when i went to isb...the CEL came on display on my way but mr athar from central autos said vss wire was disconnected so he reconected it back....but after that on my return to lahore....the speedometer cable started fluctuating but as u say the error was INTERMITENT...some times behaving normal and sometimes not.....even i checked the ECM the manual way and there was no error...but the high rpm issue started on my recent trip to my home city and even here.....some times the car is all ok but some times its not...some times even with A.C on the car runs normal but some times it doesnt and exhibits all the symptoms of high rpm and vibrations etc.....

This knob either had the numbers from 1 to 5 or cooling levels of Low, medium and HIgh; Purpose being to control the cooling temperatue level in the room.
Same thermostat switch is also placed in the cars to have thed esired cooling level in the pasenger cabin when AC temperature will reach the desired level it ill trrip the AC compressor.
In absence of it, compressor will be working contiuously putting continuous load on the egine, hence reducing its performance life.

Very nice sharing, but is indeed very teasing to see such a big and structured plant in idle position.
    we pray for Its revitalization.

You can drive your car but keep an eye on the oil level, and change it as soon as possible.

I have not so good experience with new radiator especially their plastic tanks. I am currently using kabli radiator, at-least their tanks are available in market. Regarding sensors, don't go for hit and trial, instead get your car scanned and then identify the problem.

okies thx....but there is no scanner available in lhr like there in isb for daewoo racer.....n even on manual checkup like u mentioned to read error codes no code shows up for any sensor malfunction except 12 six times.....its an efi car so cant a scanner used to check other efi cars be also used to check daewoo racer aswell like OBD II scanner?
