    Default Daewoo Racer/Cielo Fan Club

    Dear All,

    I am an owner of Daewoo Racer since 1995. It has proven to be a very comfortable and economical car throughout this period. It used to give an average of 13Km/L within city and ~15Km/L on long drives. Here are some pictures:

    I would recommend buying this car who want a better car at low budgets!

    Any member having used a Daewoo car must share their experience....(y)

    Finally STAP56 is installed. The microswitches are set at 15 degree advance. CNG consumption is on the higher side. I will check on 12 degree.
    Thanks to testdriver.

    If the problem is only on CNG, you should service the kit and clean the cylinder from any residual oil.
    there is no code displayed at all.....
    i will surely check the way u wrote here...one more thing which i wana narrate here is that when ever i run the car to the speed of 60 or above and then i apply breaks suddenly the RPM never returns with the with the speed needle and takes extra time to return to normal level...and this vibration thing is more pronounced on CNG but it also happens on Petrol some times...it was so much on CNG that a month i jsut rode my car on petrol but then on my last trip from my home town this vibration thing started happening on petrol as well when i was coming back to lhr....the engine would sufocate when i would apply break and the pick will go dead in 2nd to 3rd gear but picks up at 60km/p....the mechanic services all parts..washed everything with PEtrol.. the vss sensor the iac valve and TPS injector....everything..and adjusted the filter box opening...now pick is ok ......im running the car on CNG...but some times the when i apply clutch the car vibrates untill i ve to stop the car and let the rpm adjust themselves and when car is ok i move it forward and this happens....

    I also have seen many Daewoo with the Khyber air filter. The OEM filter is paper type and is recommended. You can try that air filter as it is not a big deal and report back!

    The problem seems to be with the AC signal switch. Ask your electrician to short the 12V wire from high pressure AC switch to the signal wire of AC signal harness.

    Its a question about CO manual adjustment, can we adjust CO on CNG or it has to be done on pet.

    Regarding air filter, there is minor diff in the make, woo original comes with rim collars for sealing but the Khyber filter is not provided with the same.

    The pick decrease is normal in my opinion but it can be reduced to 50% as compared to original compressor if u install a rotary type of compressor.

    Assalam-o-Alaikum!
    Respected Members of DFC
    I am from Sialkot, and bought a daewoo racer for family use but I read this forum that mostly parts are available in Pindi and upwards.
    Cars engine need work as it gives white smoke and its chamber leaks as well, gear box does not hold Oil, engine gets very hot, may be its due to the radiator.

    I want to change its engine and gearbox to a system which parts can be easily avalable . What type of engine is good for it? with less price

    Or

    Shall I have to go to Rawalpindi for overhauling?

    Which is best and cheap option for me in these days?

    I hope to reaceive a positive and encouraging advice from the DFC members.
    It is never late to learn.

    Default Expansion Valve/ Orifice tube

    @fslrao
    As generally expansion valve in air conditioning does, it converts high pressure liquid refrigerant to low pressure mist causing it to get extremely cool. Regarding CO, no it is not used in cng tuning.

    @all
    Expansion valve for daewoo is available with Javaid Sons, I&T Centre, G-9 (051-2260121)

    @tweety

    Better try your luck at Lahore as there are plenty of daewoo parts and mechanics there. Few contacts can be found on page 3 of this forum.
    For engine compatibilty go for 2E or 4AFE toyota engine in petrol or CD17 Nissan in diesel.
