    Default Daewoo Racer/Cielo Fan Club

    Dear All,

    I am an owner of Daewoo Racer since 1995. It has proven to be a very comfortable and economical car throughout this period. It used to give an average of 13Km/L within city and ~15Km/L on long drives. Here are some pictures:

    I would recommend buying this car who want a better car at low budgets!

    Any member having used a Daewoo car must share their experience....(y)

    Sir i read and thought of a diy sort of a method to open the speedo up and take out the paper sort of part. Scan them and invert the writing in picture editing software and then print them on photo paper and put it back. Now the problem is how to fit the needles back. Any ideas how it would be possibe?

    @all Daewoo owners

    Is there any smart multi player (i.e Cassate+CD player) which can fit in Racer, right here?
    Because I think it's very small, one can either place a CD player of CASSATE PLAYER!

    i have cassette player with 12 CD Changer, so in this type of player u have to place CD changer in Diggi , and can enjoy cassette and cd , may be some slim cd/cassette player is also available in market which can fit in daewoo's dash board.

    yes there is a cassette+cd car stereo but i think it will not fit our woo racer dash panel i already see one like that in toyota vios thats there stock car stereo and some Suv/Xuv have them too but if you want to have cassette+cd you just need a cassette player that have a cd ready inputs or you can use a cassette adaptor like the picture below

    Daewoo fan club -891375

    so you can attach anything like disc player,mp3,mp4,ipods,PSP,dvd player for sound only,ps2 with multi adapter for audio or any gaming console but i think the sound is in mono quality but you add a mini equalizer so you can tuneup your sound you like but if your disc player have a built-in sound enhancer that's good and the cassette adapter will cost you just a fraction here in the philippines they sale it for only 60-200pesos and $2.50dollars in california in vietnamese store and .99cent in 99cents store but its up to you if want to buy a new car stereo or better use you stock...

    I apologize for late response regarding CNG mileage of my car. Well I did 221km once on a long route but generally it will do around 200 km. On that occasion it was a chilling cold early morning when CNG was filled (so I assume more volume filled). Road was low traffic road going through occasional small villages and I maintained 90-100KPH. I was traveling with my family and car was loaded with luggage. I have a very old LOVATO kit installed in 1999 in my car (It even does not have those CNG lights in car). My driving on long route is conservative and I do my best not to break momentum and regain it slowly. I change gears early. Tyres are 175/70/13 Dunlop SP Sport200 whom I keep aligned and slightly over inflated. I keep my car tuned, and follow maintenance schedules. But real man may be my little known mechanic Raj Wali who keeps my car healthy for little price. There is small leak in CNG which I could never discover so I am really not sure about its in-city mileage. Should be close to 150km on a 60 Kg Cylinder. Hope this would give some idea how my car does this mileage without any add-on hardware.

    1. Regarding the first image, it looks like the blower switch!

    No, the Toyota and Honda connectors wont work; the Toyota ones are thinner while the Honda ones are shorter. Also you cannot remove the existing connectors from your plug wires without damaging it. I am planning to do a DIY for the plug wires and will soon update the DFC. (y)

    (y) very nice. Did you repaint it? Ma Sha'Allah, the car is looking great.
