    Default Daewoo Racer/Cielo Fan Club

    Dear All,

I am an owner of Daewoo Racer since 1995. It has proven to be a very comfortable and economical car throughout this period. It used to give an average of 13Km/L within city and ~15Km/L on long drives. Here are some pictures:

Check the links for my rides
    1. Before 2008 (Racer)

    2. After Jan 2008 (Cielo)
    Daewoo Cielo

I would recommend buying this car who want a better car at low budgets!

Any member having used a Daewoo car must share their experience....(y)

Guys i am looking for new daewoo bumpers (original/fantasy) if you know someone who has bumpers in stock please do reply
If you ask me, I haven't come across any AC guy who can properly rebuild the rotary compressor. Unless you purchase a fresh unit, the compressor will last for a season or two.
Did you ask Aziz Autos for required parts? (right mirror, bumpers and ac compressor)

Sir back bumper must be kabuli and repaired and it is not available new :/..If you can find new then please do inform

ANy Fantasy bumpers available in KHI?

SIr g pm me your number (or sms 03345466703) so we can proceed.I am in real trouble atm due to the bumpers/mirrors issue.60k paint wont be worth it if my bumpers look gross.

It would be a real treat for daewoo enthusiasts if i manage this restoration.

SO should i buy a genuine new unit and no need to change seals given thats its 10-15 years old unit in storage?I mean a new genuine compressor should last long.

Bumpers(new) are not available anywhere in Twin cities/Lahore and KHI.Next to impossible thats why i am trying so hard.I have checked all the shops stated on main page none has rh side mirror/bumpers.

Very dishearted to see daewoo future in a very miserable state.Body parts are hard to procure but older cars parts are still available.Very frustated atm..Cannot find mirros/cannot get bumpers.I have tried every where in this ridiculous region so called twincities boasting high concentration of daewoo racers and still cannot get a simple thing as sidemirror/bumper.Called korea autos and came to know cielo/gsi stuff was available in excess,i argued with the guy as we clearly know cielo shapes are a rarity and represent 5% of the total daewoos in Pakistan, why the **** are you not importing stuff that fits original daewoo models.Seriously i feel bad for my woo.

It is a sincere advice if anyone is interested in follwing my treads i would suggest upgrading your shape to cielo to stay away from unwarranted hindrances and hiccups.

I've posted on this thread before.
I have an extra set of motorized mirrors (original, same shape as the ones the racer came with) up for grabs.
Anyone doing a restoration and looking for mirrors might aswell convert to motorized ones once and get it over with.

Bro daewoo racer's stock engine is not carbi it has the Single Point Injection/ Throttle Body Injection (TBI). There is a single injector in the throttle body in the same location where the carburator supplies fuel in case of carbi engine.

It differs from MPFI (multi point fuel injection) in a way that there is one injector in throttle body for all cylinders in case of TBI (which racer uses) and in case of MPFI there are individual injectors for the each cylinder.Daewoo racer was one of the first efi cars that was largely introduced in Pakistan market.

Both of these technologies uses different sensors(Oxygen/Map) and have ECU for the engine and injection control. Since EFI mean electronic fuel injection so both are EFI and hence as a conclusion we could say that racer has EFI technology.

Its air filter housing. If you remove it you will see no venturi/no float bowl.Just a single electronically programmed Injector.
