    Default Daewoo Racer/Cielo Fan Club

    Dear All,

    I am an owner of Daewoo Racer since 1995. It has proven to be a very comfortable and economical car throughout this period. It used to give an average of 13Km/L within city and ~15Km/L on long drives. Here are some pictures:

    I would recommend buying this car who want a better car at low budgets!

    Any member having used a Daewoo car must share their experience....(y)

    The gearbox can be opened by just removing the gear side bracket and central foundation. The engine is lowered from one side with a jack underneath. The gear box costs around Rs.7000/= and around Rs.1000/= Labour.

    Off-course I recommend to change to 5-speed, you won't regret. Just keep one thing in mind to get a gearbox having good working condition....

    @kashmir1

    Thanks and New year greetings to all! (y)

    Regarding your query,

    1. Install power relay for headlights and
    2. Put Koito H4 tubes of 90/100W

    If the Alternator and/or Battery are weak, get them replaced first.

    I've noticed that Racer, Cielo and Pointer (gti shape) headlights aren't good in night.
    My uncle says this car "blind Car" for lights reason!lol

    Your suggestion seems quite right!
    I'll check this out on my friend's car and then all, (my family&friends have 9 Dawooz, 6 Racers, 2 Ceilo and 1 Pionter)

    While CRYSTLE lights of Ceilo, Racer and Pionter arn't avalaible anywhere!

    Any ideas on the approx price of Koito H4 tubes of 90/100W?
    Also, changing plugs are due in my daewoo, so which ones (other than irridium plugs which tend to be expensive) would you recommend?

    Thx

    Yesterday, I saw a Daewoo Ceilo with SUNROOF!!! (sliding wala!!!)

    First I thought, daewoo may comes in sunroof too, but when i looked on No plate, it was PL-XXXX (KARACHI):d

    So it was confirmed that it's converted ceilo from Racer!
    but the guy was overclever as he add Sunroof too!!!
    What do you think?
    is it good?

    Koito 90/100W costs around Rs.200/= each.

    NGK (BPR6EY) iridium plugs are better.

    @PrinceSultan

    Yes, you can find the motorized sunroof of Daewoo in old parts shop. It costs around Rs.22K and installation needs roof to be cut. Installation costs around Rs.4~5K. Offcourse, the roof upholstery needs to be modified accordingly. So you can install the sunroof in around Rs.30K.

    It is good as far as there are no machine issues.
