    Default Daewoo Racer/Cielo Fan Club

    Dear All,

I am an owner of Daewoo Racer since 1995. It has proven to be a very comfortable and economical car throughout this period. It used to give an average of 13Km/L within city and ~15Km/L on long drives. Here are some pictures:

I would recommend buying this car who want a better car at low budgets!

Any member having used a Daewoo car must share their experience....(y)

Now this is information is that is really helpful!
I'm going to be bringing my car from Karachi to Islamabad in April!
Now I am seriously thinking of getting the denting and painting done there as well! Things are cheap in Isloo!
Which is the best guy for Denting work and Paint? And how much would he charge for a complete repaint?
The best in Karachi is Yazdani and he charges an arm and leg!

@ nauman: If 30K is what it take's to do-over a car then that is the same is Karachi. "Yazdani" - which is used by Honda and Toyota to compare colors is amazing at their work. Guess that means that I'll have to get the body done, then transport to Isloo and then come back and do the color.

@azkhan: WOW! Those are some amazing body-kits! I especially like what you have done with yours! I would actually like something like that! Is this kitting still available and what's the ball park figure that I'm looking at? Would go amazing with the HKS exhaust that I have!

P.S: @azkan & testdriver - I found a guy in DBX who has the woo FANTASY turbo super charger. Would that fit with a A15MF?

    @rezbaluch

Thanks reza bhai. These body kits are custom made and I paid 16k including body kit paint job i.e., 16k for body kit + its paint. Still its around plus 16k +/- 2k.

If the guy is also offering programing ecu / atleast electronics (like safc etc) for controlling the fuel then you must go for it. But keep in mind the budget case as I think shipping alone would be around 5k.

For turbo you must have the electronics parts compulsorily as it produces more boost but u can use a small supercharger (producing around 5psi) without electronics and just going with bigger injectors. Supercharger producing around 5psi is quite good for around 150hp and a lot of torque giving hard time to b16's and 20valve's I think so.

Also stock internals with proper fueling are capable of handling boost well around 15psi. U must have seen thread on daewootech.com

But if you install supercharger then you would have to say good bye to AC as the compressor pulley and its place will be used by supercharger.

But I have a cheap solution for you and is luckily in Karachi. Mailed you about that kindly check.

    Regards.

@azkhan: Thankz for the info! Although I had already replied to your email before I saw the post, so I called the fellow in DBX. Transportation again is not the problem here, but it seems that the fellow does not have the complete electronic system for the supercharger.
Also, being in Karachi, A/C is extremely important! :-)
Do send me the contact details for the fellow in Karachi, I'll have a look see at his offer (after a bit of research as well)!

@rezabaluch sure bro. Will mail you contact details of that guy. And say that your a friend of ali from islamabad.

Also if you want A/C then for performance you could go for turbo charger. I'm ask the guy in DBX if he could arrange MegaSquirt standalone ecu which has builtin map sensor and what would the approximate cost.

If he gives a good price then turbocharger would be quite easy as the need of electronics like map sensor and ecu chipping would be eliminated. Only will buy bigger injectors for approximately 8-10k.

    Regards.

    @ All Daewoo experts.

few days back my vehicle was not giving me expected milage so i take to mechanic that says some of ring of your engine's head are not working and some work around 7500 incluing labour and oil will be charged and your problem will be resolved.
i gone through said proposal, they handed over me the vehicle and said keep the vehicle running for long times and if it is possible go for long drives.
i went to hyderabdad from karachi and returned back.
during travel i found that when i go beyond 70/80 /h speed car start bubbling and i reduced the speed.
and after coming back next morning when the vehicle is started smoke comes out for a short time and then vanished.

one more problem occurs before this that my vehicle consume too much battery and some times it won't start in mornings and easily start in middle of the day.
what are the problems and causes,
    because i am suffering badly
