The diesel knock was actually reduced in my car after getting the nozzles set.

The pressures were set between 135 and 140 Kg/cm2. The mechanic said check the mileage/response/performance before going any higher since that may be problematic.

Vehicle does feel a lot better though. Bear in mind that the this was not a nozzle cleaning job since they were very clean thanks to a liqui moly treatment some time ago.

    @imranbhatti

r u sure these specs are of the naturally aspirated version...

if so then thre is not much difference between the hp os the 2... just 2 hp.. and the peugeot is much heavier than uno...
they how come the peugeot is much faster than the uno...

the 205 1769cc diesel non turbo has a 0-100 of under 14 seconds

i have done 0-100 in 16 seconds many times...

have you ever tried on ur uno.. or any one else...well it doesnt really matter for a diesel car anyway...just to get the idea of engine performance....

i am giving the gera ratio plan inthe peugeot fan club if nebody willing to see

The power figure I found for the UNO is around 65!

I believe the Pug 205 has more torque. The interesting thing about the UNO's engine is that it is over-square. This can be felt through its fast revving nature, but I always thought that diesels were generally long stroke engines for good torque and combustion.

Never know what these Italians r up to!

    Cheers

Last time I drove a Pug, it felt about the same as my UNO. However the initial torque rush was much harder. Either the torque level is greater or it peaks earlier on the PUG.

I have never driven my UNO against a PUG so cannot comment on a head to head scenario. Either way, both cars are quite amazing and in my opinion make a lot of sense for our market.

    Cheers.

Boss its near that water temperature sensor and (in local language its the whole "Kuggi") which contains the thermostat valve inside. U cannot isolate the thermostat valve from that kuggi (the assembly from where all hose pipes get out) and if once it is broken to get rid of it then there is no other option but to replace the whole kuggi

My car has got more advanced now
Its overheating as well so i guess the culprit is the diesel pump which causes missing and blue smoke. Timing advance is not the right solution although the problem is gone but a new one has arise

Ofcourse advance injection timing will definately accompany over heating problem.

BTW do u replace fuel pump ur self or got fixed from some workshop?
Same were the symptoms of my Uno it was giving blue smoke after cold start & slightly missing but after nozzles servicing missing decreases & after removing choke cable i got rid off bulk blue smoke in cold start & fuel consumption has been increased dramaticaly. .

Yes we advanced the car from cam timing. Results were good with all missing gone, no smoke but noise was way too much. Now we are in the process of troubleshooting the same. Trying the new pump. Nozzles are already caliberated at 140 bars.
Lets see what comes out. I have a gut feeling that missing is due to valve seats and not the fuel system. Lets see what the final findings are.

i Had a very rough evening with my UNO yesterday. It was missing badly and was giving vlue smoke at cold starts. we opened the timing as i told befire and advanced it a little thinking that its at fault but car gave excessive noise.

Yesterday we opened the diesel pump as we had the replacement with us

    here is the old pump

    ##### Fiat Uno Fan Club ##### -665649

And here is the new one taken out from the engine we bought

    ##### Fiat Uno Fan Club ##### -665650

Before that we got the nozlles caliberated a few days ago as per standard pressure of 140.

Even after replacing the pump, the missing was still there so we bolted the old pump back.
At that moment we checked all possible areas from where it can get air inside the fuel system but were not able to find any problem. Time was 10 pm

Old pump was bolted with the old electric plunger. My friend Amin thought of putting on the original FIAT plunger from the new pump. When we opened the old plunger, it was all dirty from inside with clear marks of centuries old dust accumulations
When we bolted the new FIAT own plunger, the car started nehaving normaly. Time was 11:45 pm

In the morning, it started with a bang without any excessive or blue smoke. No missing or anything. Timing also got right yesterday. It was one heck of an evening, full of expereinces. Now we can open and close the pump, nozzles and timimg of UNO in 2 hours easily

I was not able to take many pictures as my hands were black all the time
