Default Car Shakes/Stumbles when started in the morning.

    AOA, All

the vehicle in question is Ssangyong Rexton RX320 having engine from Mercedes benz M104 (gasoline), I recently replaced head gasket (due to minor oil seepage arround) and many other soft parts as well as water pump and temperture sensor. When I start the car in the morning it shakes and I can feel some misfiring, but after a couple of minutes the engine is steady and smooth and it runs very nice.

    What could go wrong?

Though I will visit my dealer again and will share the finding but if you guys especially Mr.Xulfiqar can give me some tips because when i will go to dealer the car will be at normal temperature so it is might be difficult to troubleshoot.

    with kind regards,

cold start misfiring - ask the shop to check for vaccum lines and ignition timing just a hunch ! Xulfiqar's input will be DOT ON

The car was checked by the dealer and they did not find any abnormality, further they said leave the car overnight with us so early morning we will start and check, now I have to plan for that.

check for cold start fuel pressure problem and clean out the injectors. This can be either simple job like that or a valve seat not sealing when cold.

Fuel pressure Regulator was replaced a year ago, but if you mean leaky fuel injector then it will be difficult to pressure test, any how I will pour one injector cleaner tomorrow and will see if it cleans the injectors and valve seats so that any possible leak can be stopped, otherwise i will have to leave the car next week at service center so that early morning they will connect OBD II scanner and see the firing and fuel pressure etc.

thanks for your advice, this problem appeared after head gasket replacement job only otherwise it was fine before, may be they did some gunk cleaning from valve seats and now leak has started.

    will update later.
