after more than a month of ignorance.. the pug is back on raod on a daily basis... and am i enjoying driving it again full time...after a month on 2002 civic exi prosmatec...

got a new Cassete player for the pug.. will post pictures soon..

upcomming preventive maintenance schedule will be as follows..

    1. clutch plate and thrust bearing inspection leading to probable replacement.

    2. New pair of wishbones(track control arms).. which will result in new ball joints plus all the rubber bushes.

    3. New tie rod ends...

    4. Tyres are 43000 miles used now... which is 68000 kilometers... so in a month or so... i will be replacing them..

Mind you the car original mileage is 76630 miles(123,000 kms) as of today.. and the whole clutch set and all the suspension is original including tie rod ends... from 1993 when it left the factory..

    clocked 79000 miles.. last weekend..

recent 4 trips to sialkot in consecutive 4 weeks.. have really helped the mileage... it jumped fomr 77000 to 79000 in no time...

journey between sialkot and islamabad has been a piece of cake... thansk to the pug...
no refills required... i went to sialkot ..kept on driving in sialkot..and came back to isb in a single tank ...

no problems handling the load of 4 ppl + some luggage/office equipment + airconditioning... even 1500 cc cars suffer on cng...

then there was an additional challenge of extremley bad road .. a path of aroud 15 to 20 kilometers at wazirabad.. is underconstructin from ages.. the french suspension did not let me down there too...

if all that was not enough challenge... a brige after samrial dryport collapsed and was closed for most of the traffic... we had to travel around 10 kilometers on a desert like terrain alongside a canal.. with ditches... and exremely rough terrain... that too was handled quite well..bcoz of the road clearance and climbing angle. and weight of the diesel engine at the front provided traction eerywhere...

not many cars can provide this much reliability and fun... this cheap..

the cost every time was around 2.20 rs per kilometer with a lot of airconditining..
Do the environment a favour, Use less airconditioning .. and please walk to the shop to get a pack of cigarretes..its only a 3 min walk..
