    hye everyone,
    mercedes w124 E300 diesel engine
    please tell me from where the new engine found?what is the best option
    1-new engine installed?
    2-overhall engine?
    please tell me both things from where the new engine found and from where the parts of engine found like ring piston etc except shahnawaz auto..
    please tell me as soon as possible

    Thanks for the reply zulfiqar I send the pictures of engine tomorrow. ..its not ran more than 135km..mechanic tell me that (isky piston side marty ha) thats why overhaul is needed as u think this type of thing in it...

    OM606 ka piston side marta hai?

    mechanic smokes charass or heroin?

    This engine has excellent rod:stroke ratio and already has a short stroke (thats why its gutless at low rpm and you need to rev like to a honda petrol engine). And that is why the crosshatch pattern is seen even after long mileages. Before you tear down the head, ask this mechanic to do a compression test on the engine, each cylinder should be 500 psi (new) or at minimum 380 psi (worn).

    If he does not have a tester or understands this - find a new mechanic.

    colour of smoke?

    when does it smoke? - high or low rpm?

    catalizer present in exhaust?

    EGR valve stuck open?

    resonance flaps in intake stuck?

    too much soot/crud/oil lodged in intake ports of cylinder head?

    Zulfiqar i send you picture..its blow smoke is too when rpm is high check the picture when cover of oil open when car start its blow smoke check this all picture

    This is OM603 from 300D not an OM606 from an E300D as you mention. What year is this car and what are the first 6 digits of the chassis number?

    quite good engine, but has an issue with the head casting in the earliest models. Lets start with the basics - are the glow plugs working?, are your injector pressures correct.

    I see that the injector lines are missing the cushion pads - this will cause the lines to fracture, they are very expensive too. The pads and clips are not that pricey, I think all of them cost less than 20 euros at best.

    In another picture you show the engine with oil cap off - what are you showing here? are you trying to show us what mechanic showed to you? - If you are then your mechanic should not work on this engine.

    As I said - under what circumstances does your engine start to smoke and is this smoke from the tailpipe? or the oil cap?

    the car will puff some black/gray smoke on startup - its very normal for all diesel engines to do that. Does the engine have starting issues?

    who timed the pump on this engine?

    also mention when was the last time the fuel filters were changed and if you have ever cleaned the intank filter

    does this engine have its correct thermostat valve installed?

    is it hard to start the engine?

    Model no 1986, chasis no wdb1241302A172104 .yes the glowing plugin and injector is working fine..
    in picture oil cap off mechanic check us the smoke blow from here ...
    Smoke come from pipeline but smoke is very large when we accelerate the speed
    yes fuel filter change and intake filter is cleaned..yes thermostat valve installed..no its not hard to start...please tell me what can I do please tell me.

    Your car is not E300D - its a 300D. There is a huge difference between them. It will make it very easy for you if you dont confuse the name.

    The oil cap blow test is useless IMO. Its more or less a desi mechanic way of mooching money from you. If your engine starts easily from cold, its got ample compression and no need for any attention. If its hard to start e.g. the starter requires 6 or 7 shoves to start the engine then you may need to look into the issue.

    For loss of power please look at the filter below

    This filter is screwed into the fuel tank. This picture is from my own personal W124 E300D. With this filter in this condition the car was not pulling strong at all, it was slower than a dead tortoise.

    Make sure its clean. Also make sure the tank vent is clean (its right beside this filter) - clogged tank vent can cause fuel starvation and loss of power.

    Another problem that can manifest itself as excess blowby in some cases is bad injection timing. A starting point to correct injection timing is to align the timing mark in the injection pump tool slot and looking at the main crank pulley, it should be at 15 after 0T. If its not then you can use the fine adjuster to rotate the pump or you might even need to remove and reinstall the pump to correct timing.

    zulfiqar please tell me where the kabli engine found my engine was sealed please tell me what i do can i overhalled the engine or put new engine ?u knw i tell you before that my engine is week now its sealed plz help me what can i do?

    Please tell me one thing can i change engine in it can i put any other engine in it ,if possible tell me the best thing which can i do because i dont found 603.912 engine plz tell me as soon as possible,mechanic tell my engine is not in that condition to overhalled
