Default Ravi Piaggio or Habib Stryker

    Aoa to All respected members,
I am in the process of purchasing 125cc bike and after all research, narrowed down my list to two bikes:
    a) Ravi Piaggio
    b) Habib Stryker

Personally i like Habib Stryker because it has:
    a) Front Disc Brakes
    b) Alloy Rims
    c) 16 litre fuel tank
    d) Cool shape
    e) Self starter
    f) Parts easily available in Karachi as i verified by visiting their dealer at M.A Jinnah road and talked to Habib motorcyles head office

But on the other hand cannot ignore this Italian- Pak joint venture production of Ravi Piaggio, but going through threads, comments by their owners got the idea that this bike create some issues at very early stage though it has got max top speed and very comfortable to ride. Ravi web is also not upto the mark and does not provide their dealer network and still is in test phase....

    Please share your valuable comments!!!

I'm unable to find this Piaggio model on Piaggo's own website. Is this some outdated model that is being sold in Pakistan.

Does Ravi Piaggio have Electric Start.

    @Myschizobuddy
    Yes it has electric start
As for the model it is the BYQ 125 which is not displayed on the website but assembled and sold in select countries such as Pakistan and South Africa
Slow and steady wins the race.I know strange thing to say over here isn't it?

European emission standards define the acceptable limits for exhaust emissions of new vehicles sold in EU member states. The emission standards are defined in a series of European Union directives staging the progressive introduction of increasingly stringent standards.
oxic emission: stages and legal framework

The stages are typically referred to as Euro 1, Euro 2, Euro 3, Euro 4 and Euro 5 fuels for Light Duty Vehicle standards. The corresponding series of standards for Heavy Duty Vehicles use Roman, rather than Indian numerals (Euro I, Euro II, etc.)
The legal framework consists in a series of directives, each amendments to the 1970 Directive 70/220/EEC.[11] The following is a summary list of the standards, when they come into force, what they apply to, and which EU directives provide the definition of the standard.
    Euro 1 (1993):
    For passenger cars - 91/441/EEC.[12]
Also for passenger cars and light trucks - 93/59/EEC.
    Euro 2 (1996) for passenger cars - 94/12/EC (& 96/69/EC)
    For motorcycle - 2002/51/EC (row A)[13] - 2006/120/EC
    Euro 3 (2000) for any vehicle - 98/69/EC[14]
    For motorcycle - 2002/51/EC (row B)[13] - 2006/120/EC
    Euro 4 (2005) for any vehicle - 98/69/EC (& 2002/80/EC)
Euro 5 (2008/9) and Euro 6 (2014) for light passenger and commercial vehicles - 715/2007/EC[15]
These limits supersede the original directive on emission limits 70/220/EEC.

    Default Habib Stryker Manufacturer

Habib Stryker is manufactured by Kinetic China, Not Habib they have imported from India via Dubai that is the reason it is also very expensive other wise this bike must not cost more than Pak Rs 60,000~65,000 (Today, 3 May 2012)

Ravi Storm is still expensive but its said to be european..
