    Foremost it is an honest and realistic review of the product, i mean no offense to any of the Companies mentioned. i am solely describing my own experience and opinion.

    First of All i would like to clarify that i have been using Honda for almost 12 years, and its a wonderful brand, no doubt about it, but it not not evolved over this long period. just kept following the other brands trends. i had honda 70 before and wanted to buy a new deluxe but my decision changed at the very last minute.

    So i bought Ravi Piaggio 125 instead. it was a big save of money plus the bike looked cool and sporty. i will first describe its pros and cons

    Pros
    great look
    economical price
    Better price VS Quality ratio
    nice acceleration in 2nd and 3rd gear
    5<sup>th</sup> gear really adds to the stability of the bike
    Seat and shocks are comfortable
    Good for long trips
    Speedometer looks really nice with its back light
    Good braking
    Various small features that make up a good experience like dipper, fuel gauge, bigger headlamps etc…
    Cons
    Low resale value
    The owners and dealers have created to much hype of the product, it is not as good as told and described
    Fuel consumption is same as Honda deluxe but performance is not (believe me on this)
    Top speed is marketed at 130km, trust me people, this bike can hardly touch 100km
    Very very hard to find in showrooms due to limited production
    Spare parts are Rare, only available at few showrooms
    Long and hectic process of warranty claim
    Good mechanics are hard to find for this bike


    To sum it all up, I want to say that’s it’s a good bike for the price, but it is not comparable to Honda CG let alone deluxe. So the comparison does not stand. RAVI has made a good product with a lot of efforts but nothing is perfect. Its market value, spares and service will increase over time, because it’s a good start. I believe the monopoly created by the YAMAHA and HONDA is going to end if products like these keep getting injected into market. If you are planning to buy this product please try to get an owner ‘s opinion and atlest ride it for 5km before finally deciding, don’t believe marketers and dealers unless u try it for urself.     bhai agar piaggio kee sab cheezain perfect hon to price bhi 150000/- hotee... agar honda kee options pay goor kia jay .
    in this price it's the best bike all over Pakistani bikes availble . and about the speed factor dear they have mentioned on the book that it's max speed is 85km .... why you want to go beyond 100km with a 125cc little machine have mercy on this small manuring thing.
    What other companies have , let compare honda with piaggio .. not self start . they only have the engine and resale. what you do to buy this honda .. kick again and again when ever you want to start .
    parking lite , direct head light connection with battery and disc breaks are the things which are fabulous with this bike .
    I love this bike .. thanks god some company came with some different style and functions.

    and abt speed factor , it is also aint tht poor , a properly tuned piaggio can go to 110 to 115 km/h easily
    it competes quite well with deluxe

    Now u came to 110, once u were saying that ravi can go 130, i still says that i ve beaten many ravis on the highway, n it was way back, n i was max 120 still my bike can go more

    About speed factor, please be reasonable guyz. Everyone knows these 125cc engines can do 120+ easily ...
    I've drive both Piaggio and Deluxe. They cannot just go to full meter at their first run ... infact no bike can (atleast in Pakistan).
    I can bet you that after first or atleast 2nd tunning, you will be able to do the full potential speed of bike.

    As for me, the only thing i didn't like in Piaggio, was the Rider Position. I mean its best position for riders having nearly 6 feet height. For people like me with average height, its not suitable. Why? Well i dont know if its just me, but manuevering with this bike in lower speeds is Just impossible. And at higher speeds, the bike takes control, not the rider, and if you get to brake at 120+ with Piaggio, it'll only be the bike doing all the work, not the rider. (I am sure you guyz are understanding my point).

    THATs where I like the Deluxe. Because I still consider it has the best rider position one can imagine. (atleast for people like me)
    BUT then comes the price/performance factor where Deluxe fail badly.


    Just wanted to say, If i were to choose from Piaggio and Deluxe, i would happily choose Piaggio because it Practically delivers the best performance per buck. It only requires a bit more protection and care than other bikes like Classic or GS150 etc.

    agreed , my height is 5.10 so to me i feel complete control while driving it, but i havent driven deluxe so cant say about it much and to me riding position is perfect , but still it would be a problem for a average height person

    u must try gs 150 sometime , it has a low height and it will suit ur style

    do let us know abt the ignition coil modifications u have done to increase ur speed , coz most deluxe owners say 110 as max speed

    More or less its still the same as Piaggio for me. Because the rider position is still ... umm ... sitting on like a mini hayabusa ... if you get my point
    But the comfort makes you forget everything. Same is the case with Piaggio.

    GS-150 is more classic bike with a better and powerful engine as compared to Piaggio. Both have their pros and cons.

    If i am not mistaken, he owns the 4 Speed Deluxe (ealier model), which can go to 110+ easily.

    @umer

    Whoever want to know about modification can read my posts. If u think tht all increase is due to ignition power only thn u r a expert too. What do u think tht i can increase 30km/hr with ignition coil. Does tht make sense? U said tht deluxe can goes upto 100 only. But let exclude my bike. My cousin has deluxe 2007, it can also goes 115+, so plz don't just beat the bushes. Thx

    i have to travel 60KM daily to country side where i work, i take care of my bike and tune it after every 500KM , i use Havoline, but everything is stock, no modifications. so i have the chance of taking this bike at peak performance everyday, unless there is something wrong with my bike (which is not) it can only reach 100km on a almost 1.5km straight strip. i can say that if u have a 5km straight patch, then u can talk about 110+ but building this speed requires time and perfect conditions.

    gs 150 a junk, and suzuki ppl are so pathatic after sale service 0 if u want trouble in ur life buy gs150, really a bad experience and ride is pathatic as well..........

    some people are very happy with their gs150 and some are very unhappy. i think this may be because of poor quality control by suzuki. i really like gs150, and in future i wish to purchase it. if you follows pakistan bikers club, you will see many of them are using gs150. this shows that it is a good bike. but i am afraid of suzuki's quality issue. suzuki needs to work on this.

    Wait WHAT? You tune you bike after 500kms? SERIOUSLY?
    Uncle is it just me or you really are a son of bill gates lol? j/k

    Seriously though ... you said that you have to travel country side to get to your work, so i assume you get Open Straight Roads and NO SIGNALS on your way there. Am I right?
    So whats the point of tunning you bike every 500kms when you dont even have to brake at any Red Light ? And also when you drive you bike at High Speeds , assuming at constant speeds.

    I really am unable to understand the logic behind tunning after 500kms ONLY.

    If you drive your bike at Long Routes, you can even run your bike till 2000kms VERY EASILY without the bike giving any sort of problem or lost power. Its the Red Lights, and too much braking inside city which kills the engine and makes it require tunning after every 500 or 800kms or so.


    Now comes the speed factor, well i dont understand why some people cannot take the bike upto its top speed. Although i HAVE heard that you can't take Deluxe to 100 unless you do a couple of tunnings and adjust valve clearance.

    With due respect to everyone's experience. I really dont understand why there are so many people who complain that they cant hit more than 100 on the bike. When I used to have this bike, it was almost everyday when I used to hit 125, 130. I work in night shifts and used to go to work after 12. Empty roads on canal. It used to be great. Maybe it has to do something with the tuning and how your mechanic sets up your bike. It did happen to me a couple of times that after the tuning the bike would hardly reach 110 but after I talked with the mechanic, he did some adjustments to the carburetor and it was good again.

    come on everyone bikes mai sirf speed nhi daikhi jati. mujhy samjh nhi ati ke jab bi storm ki bat ati hai tu sary top speed ko ly kar kiu argue karna shoro ho jaty hain. According to my personal experience, if tuned properly this bike can achieve the top speed of 120-130 but these speeds are not practical kiu ke agar aisa bar bar kia jae ga tu engine jaldi khtum hojae ga kiu ke ye koi sports bike nhi hai ye 1 ordinary bike hai secondly isae 120 ya 130 achieve karny ke lye 2 se 3 km ka clear patch chahye. aur conditions ideal honi chahye.
