    Foremost it is an honest and realistic review of the product, i mean no offense to any of the Companies mentioned. i am solely describing my own experience and opinion.

    First of All i would like to clarify that i have been using Honda for almost 12 years, and its a wonderful brand, no doubt about it, but it not not evolved over this long period. just kept following the other brands trends. i had honda 70 before and wanted to buy a new deluxe but my decision changed at the very last minute.

    So i bought Ravi Piaggio 125 instead. it was a big save of money plus the bike looked cool and sporty. i will first describe its pros and cons

    Pros
    great look
    economical price
    Better price VS Quality ratio
    nice acceleration in 2nd and 3rd gear
    5<sup>th</sup> gear really adds to the stability of the bike
    Seat and shocks are comfortable
    Good for long trips
    Speedometer looks really nice with its back light
    Good braking
    Various small features that make up a good experience like dipper, fuel gauge, bigger headlamps etc…
    Cons
    Low resale value
    The owners and dealers have created to much hype of the product, it is not as good as told and described
    Fuel consumption is same as Honda deluxe but performance is not (believe me on this)
    Top speed is marketed at 130km, trust me people, this bike can hardly touch 100km
    Very very hard to find in showrooms due to limited production
    Spare parts are Rare, only available at few showrooms
    Long and hectic process of warranty claim
    Good mechanics are hard to find for this bike


    To sum it all up, I want to say that’s it’s a good bike for the price, but it is not comparable to Honda CG let alone deluxe. So the comparison does not stand. RAVI has made a good product with a lot of efforts but nothing is perfect. Its market value, spares and service will increase over time, because it’s a good start. I believe the monopoly created by the YAMAHA and HONDA is going to end if products like these keep getting injected into market. If you are planning to buy this product please try to get an owner ‘s opinion and atlest ride it for 5km before finally deciding, don’t believe marketers and dealers unless u try it for urself.     @malikg115.... That was pretty thorough bro..... By the way Piaggio is marketing their 125 as having a top speed of 85km/h. Thats how it is printed in the owner's manual which I still have though I sold the bike.

    v must understand that if a cd70 can hit the mark 100km/hr in a chance then it doesn not make sense that we shld make that 100km/hr as a standard
    100km/hr speed with a 65kgs bike on a 2.5in tire will not take to destination but might take to hell
    125cc bikes case is not v different, just move a bike on 120km/hr suppose its a cg125, n put a rope on road, can u stop the bike within 20ft before rope markedat this speed?
    So v must not consider speed
    but
    controlable speed, in my opinion a 125cc to 150cc bike can give you riding pleasure from 60km/hr to 85km/hr
    after this speed you are just pulling the throttle, n infact at that speed you can only feel air with different sounds, n thats not the riding pleasure.

    lolz.....thats very true..... on top of that...people forget that the roads that we have are actually sheesha roads instead of grainey roads. Grainey roads provide more friction and road grip but the sheesha roads we have...its very easy to slip off these roads. Even a kid can turn the accelerator all the way but control is the actual thing.

    3rd=100km/h
    4th =115km/h
    in 5th my bike keeps low upto 110 km/h due to low fuel settings
    get it properly tuned from the mechanic ,change spark plug to japanese ngk DP8EA-9

    last time i when i had tuning i changed the plug, are u sure i should take it to 50 in ist gear???
    mine does like this,

    1st= 40 kmph
    2nd= 60 kmph
    3rd= 80 kmph
    4th=95 kmph

    and then "ap till ka zorr laga lo" this bike says im enough other wisr if you the acceleration is really good , it reaches to 60 in no time .....
    i dont know what happens, i have taken that machine to two mechanics and they say that its perfect and should touch 120 +

    it is not advisable to push the motorcycle to its limits every time but i was telling the maximum speed of each gear,
    for daily routine u shud change the gear at max 5.5k rpm

    Default suzuki, piaagio, honda

    Well folks. everyone has his own experience. I have used CG125, szuki, all, even kawasaki. I have used CG 125 first bought in 1983, used it for five years, then again bought the same in 1993, used it for 2 years and got rid of it due to vibration problem. I have even used Kawasaki KE175, also had Suzuki GSX1100R, Honda CB 500 Twin. And in smaller bikes have used Suzuki SD110. now when you use a transport, never forget the availability of after sales service and HOW MUCH it is available. I dont know about Lahore or other cities, but in Islamabad we hardly find any screw of Piagio, or suzuki. If one owns suzuki, he has to go all the way to Pindi Muree road, which is not feasible. Piaggio, impossible. But we do get excellent service for Honda in Aabpara. Now suzuki pakistani bikes have terrible brakes. I have no idea of honda 125 deluxe, but it is too much overpriced. But, one thing i tell you, i have been going to HIT Taxila everyday from Islamabad on CG 125 constantly at 110, (1988 to 1993) My unit was situated there. I have even used Honda XL 350 of army, our unit had few borrowed from SSG. overall, irrespective of specs or price, having a honda is much better out of all Pakistani bikes. Atleast if something goes wrong, one can easily get the spares.Value your money, it is a hard earned money. I know Ravi people, most unprofessional approach, let me tell you, they will soon run away from the market. so dony get yourself involved in piaggio stuff. Had they been professional, or serious, or intending to stay for long in the market with instant warranty claims, they should have flooded the spares in the market, they would have opened list of showrooms in Pindi and Islamabad, but when you talk to them, they have loong list of excuses. All of you are sensible guys, mature and educated, be careful, dont be misledd by piaagio beauty, it is just beauty, not quality.

    my younger bro recently bought honda cg 125 2008 model... and im having unique ud 70 2010... and well when his 125 was in original tuning it was running tht much even... in my unique my chains pocket is altered.. and added honda 007 PK hyd silencer which gives free flow... and on hi-octane it goes 100km\h max... and on petrol it goes 90km\h. i was easily beating his 125 and other 70's... then i took it to my mechanic and we got 125 tuned up. den he asked me to race wid his unique... in 1st gear i was ahead cuz of low weight but in 2nd nd 3rd geat 125 got ahead cuz of v.long gear ratios, and den he was ahead of me, and we were on full accelerator.. and the gap between us was abt 2 40feet trollers. i dont knw abt piaggio cuz never met any on roads. my ud70 easily beats 100cc unique or honda cd100... only once i have beaten by honda cd100 which was altered having 125 carbourator.... well china 125 seriously sucks. it just makes sounds nothing else.... but seriously my ud70 is v.much poor in handling... when ever wind blows my bike just change lanes... and for some grip using diamond thunder in rear and ghauri rotational tyre frnt... and using original japanese gud quality hid... same prado hid results... only the plus point of 70 is its gets ahead in traffic as cmpare to other bikes 125 etc etc... today i have seen metro 125... dont knw abt tht much... but its same to honda.. cc, bore stroke, and gears... piaggio bore is 57 and honda is 56... and superpower etc is 128cc, honda is 124.1cc, and piaggio is 126... dont knw abt stryker... i knw one thing no bike is able to compare to cg 125... cuz the way its shoot up its like driving vtec engine... i took honda cg 125 at 80 on 3rd gear.. road was ended or i wud have taken more.... my neighbour had power plus and altered its gears... he had broke meter many times... he achieved 140+... now he left racing... well stock bike doesnt gives topspeed or acceleration tht much... u have to do a bit alteration in its chains pocket... just spend 1500rs on chains pocket alteration den see wht piaggio and honda can do...

    Very rightly said. the problem with many members is comparing top speeds. Even the new bikes of same category of different company dont have same high speeds. and beating high category speeds of course lower category needs some alteration .

    so every one has its own liking and disliking and requirement, some wants speed some wants economy, some wants Fair price. but bike (any other machine) should be reliable. not favouring any make. and as Tashfeen said parts should be available. because parts ki nonavailabilty ap ko aksar zaleel karwa kar rakh dayti hay.
    Fish only feels tasty when you catch it by your own and journey is only adventurous when you do it in a tough condition.

    well one thing is true china bikes rnt reliable... my unique never been xcidented or never been jumped on any bump or somthing... v.carefull driven on bumpy roads.. and its chasis have now gotten a bit looses its shape... so im planning to buy piaggio after eid.... wht u say guyz??? is it reliable and a bit tough??? i have seen in khi a bit of piaggio's....

    AOA,

    how is it going guys,

    I am still using my Piaggio, and still going strong, satisfied with it and happy to travel 60km everyday.


    I see that the top speed war is still hot....

    honestly i said it before and say it now again, this bike can hardly go above 100km/h. i dont know how people just say that , 120, 130 etc.

    i know a lot of people who have this bike and none of them claimed 120/h.

    same is the case with suzuki gs 150. spare parts either short or if available waaaay costly. and after sale service well, hahaha :@
