    Default My Ravi Piaggio 2011

    Bought in 2011, bike has complete almost 4 years with almost 50K running. There are some major and minor changes made so far.

    1. Rear tyre changed to 100/90 Dunlop
    2. HID installed
    3. Charade ignition coil with iridium tiped plug
    4. Studs sportster for touring
    5. Handle changed to AHL Deluxe raised handle
    6. Mirror indicators

    Major locations covered so far:

    Karachi, Uthal, Hingol, Kund Malir, Quetta, Ziarat, Islamabad, Neelum Valley, Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur, Chistian.

    And bike still going good, although the fat tyre has forced bike to consume oil on long runs but its till performing good.

    I know its to early to lay out the final verdict as i have only done 900KM.. But this bike is far more better than honda CG125 .. Speed is not the everything you have to see comfort also.. Today i ride my friends CG its brand new.. i think only 2 months old.. but as soon as i touched 80KM/h i feel like iam riding on a horse.. these was no such thing called comfort and grip braking wasnt good either plus at such speed i wasnt feeling any confidence that iam going to control this bike..

    Ravi may be not a best of all but it surely is a best deal in 85K .. If you are comitted then you may figure out some earlier problem with this bike but on a longer term.. this bike is better than CG125.. However CG has the edge of ACCELERATION.. but again ravi is 26 kg heavier than 125 .. but i can compromise with acceleration when i have a smooth ride to enjoy..

    I Figured it out.. the rear light spring was too loose which i adjusted and then tightened and about the front lever brake.. while cleaning my bike today i came to know that one plug was loose so i inserted it and wola... the light was working with front lever also..

    Now i came to know that why a cleaned bike lasts longer with less mechanical issue's cuz on your way cleaning you may came across with loose nuts,connections and vice versa.. so clean your bike regularly

    Lolz @Silver_knife and R1.....Quetta does'nt need that 70. Its Cool without it.

    @Silver_knife
    I have the same point of view abt Ravi Piaggio. The comfort and riding pleasure is what matters the most. I can do with reaching a place a minute later than CG but I sure will not be as tired as the CG owner. And yes cleaning is a good habbit. Makes you understand your bike and helps you find out about any possible faults like you did.

    Today i had my first tunning at 960KM .. Now all the noise's gone and i feel like the wants to go (speed wise) .. really comfortable ride. .. I used the technique of short shifting and touched 125Km/h .. And i feel that the bike wants to go more.. but the track ended

    The bike is worth every penny you spend.. If you are having difficulty of choosing between RAVI PIAGGIO and HONDA CG125.. I strongly recommend you to go for RAVI PIAGGIO.. Its a really nice and confortable.. You will face some initial problems like fuel tank leakage, Fuel gauge problem, noisy chain cover.. but if you are comitted and love to take care of your bike.. than ravi is the mean machine..

    b/w i had my second oil change at 950KM..

    @silver knife

    just tell me. is Ravi is good for long routs toward northern side like naran, lullosar, and maximum khanjarab?
    Fish only feels tasty when you catch it by your own and journey is only adventurous when you do it in a tough condition.

    I haven't taken the bike on longer routes till know.. its been only 15 days since i bought it.. The bike is comfortable for long routes.. Suspension is far more better than HONDA.. But before taking bike on longer routes i think you got to spend some time with your Bike so that you may know and manage out some problems easily that this bike face's.. So far i face following problem

    1. Leakage Of Fuel Tank
    2. Tight Chain
    3. Noisy Chain Cover
    4. Fuel Gauge Problem
    5. Sub Standard Plug (Got it changed with Original Japan One)

    These are the main issue's that i came across so far. I think in a month i will be completely able to sort out any issue's that i may came across. Then will take it to longer routes..
