Default PW Members & Piaggio Owners Invited to RAVI Piaggio Factory In Lahore

    Hello Everyone!

Taking the initiative of interacting and communicating with the "end user", the management of RAVI-Piaggio invited PW members and Piaggio owners to their manufacturing facility in Lahore on Saturday, July 23rd 2011.

Initially around seven members responded to the invitation but three of us were unable to join due to different reasons. Four of us paid the visit to the factory on the morning of July 23rd.

    Stay tuned for the details.

Mods: Apologies if this is not the appropriate section but since it is regarding bikes and most of the bikers roam around this section, posting here. Hope it is okay.

    Love thy Parents.

Are they going to buy for Soldiers, "DAK SYSTEM" or for CSD Shops? Because Pak Army prefers Qingqi Thing for this purpose.

Funny the ravi guys at Pindi and Wah were saying the shortage was due to the fact that Italian components used in bikes was kept up at Karachi for 4 months leading to the shortage This bike isn't at the CSDs as far as I can tell because I purchased the last Storm available at CSDs in the whole Punjab(a distinct honor I assure you)
Slow and steady wins the race.I know strange thing to say over here isn't it?

I hope this time chain cover issue gets resolved!!

They are also going to bring changes in the faulty designs in the bike in the next couple of months. Which includes a newly designed Speedometer which according to them is very attractive and will solve the fuel guage problem. They said that it has a different color scheme.

They are also going to change the chain cover design and the side taapa lock design. They welcomed our suggestions and everyone of us suggested what we had in mind. I suggested that the bike should have shorter side mirrors, the ones that come with sports bikes, also suggested that the muffler, engine head and sides should be matt black and the angle of elevation of the muffler should be higher. And of course a cowling. They made a note of all our suggestions.

SMARTDEVIL suggested that there should be at least one big aftersales service center in every major city and that ONE big service center should have all the spare parts from A to Z. We liked his suggestion very much and surprisingly, Nauman told us that they were already working on such a plan and that they were shortlisting the dealers.

I have feul average of 45 to 52~ on average depending on the trafiic very easily!!!

Me and SMARTDEVIL had a very good experience with the fuel average of the bike, both of us had seen it doing 65kms in ONE litre. However, seenforu and umer009 had a different story to tell. Their bikes were only doing 40kms to a litre. When this question was put up to the gentlemen, Nauman told us that in one shipment of about 300 bikes, the the jet of the carburator was faulty and after it was fitted, there was an issue of backfire and poor average. A chinese representative of Piaggio China was called and he stayed in the factor for a week but was unable to UNDERSTAND the issue. Then another 6 or 7 members team came from China after Ravi sent two of their guys to China. That team understood the issue and those jets were then replaced.
Now Im not sure if some other shipment alos has some sort of faulty carbs which were not caught and are giving low fuel average.

I think I know the reason I have tuned the carb to give less feul to piston so mileage gets better, but you have to give up on top speed for that, my ride cannot cross 100kmh berrier on this setting.

when I increase feul from mixture it goes to 108/110 easy wesii !!! this is my personal experience actually... may be people have diferent experince with there rides ...

Bro if any bike was ever reliable then id say YES Mud bikes are reliable as I see OLD Trails smoking new bikes and apart from that if an old late 70 mud bike is still running on the road it is itself a proof that it can last longer than imaginable only if one treats it with care.

I cannot Vouch for the performance of this bike but with the experiance I have had on other mud bikes and keeping in view the repo of QINGQI in our market I can risk to say it shall be an experiance one has not had in Pakistan for a long time now.
