Thread: PW Members & Piaggio Owners Invited to RAVI Piaggio Factory In Lahore

    Default PW Members & Piaggio Owners Invited to RAVI Piaggio Factory In Lahore

    Hello Everyone!

    Taking the initiative of interacting and communicating with the "end user", the management of RAVI-Piaggio invited PW members and Piaggio owners to their manufacturing facility in Lahore on Saturday, July 23rd 2011.

    Initially around seven members responded to the invitation but three of us were unable to join due to different reasons. Four of us paid the visit to the factory on the morning of July 23rd.

    Stay tuned for the details.

    Mods: Apologies if this is not the appropriate section but since it is regarding bikes and most of the bikers roam around this section, posting here. Hope it is okay.

    I am really into the Mud Bike (trail) I dont see it in market though!

    We were warmly received by Mr. Umer Khayyam who heads the Quality and Mr. Nauman who is the manager of production and assembly. We were taken to the training room that had a tiny door to it. There were three Piaggios and a Moped parked there along with a couple of 70cc Ravi bikes. The Vespa Moped was a 125cc and looked very nice. It was an automatic stylish looking scooter with a digital watch in the speedometer.
    Bro, you are very true! I usually keep the Headlight of my Motorcycle (mine is GS150) ON in daytime too, but people pointing with their hands and flashing fingers, become so irritating. As if I am a fool and have forgotten to turn it Off. lolz..

    Infact, not many people know here that motorcycle headlight MUST be kept ON in all traffic literate countries.

    I always turn on headlight in day time on long tours but people always waving hands and giving indications "OO Bhai Light JAL Raha Hay" "Yaar Tumhara Bati JAL Raha hay" thats all they can do. They aren't aware of Traffic Rules and Regulations!

    Exclamation Ride with your high beam on always during the day!

    Two major scientific research studies into the causes of motorcycle accidents have been conducted in North America and Europe: the Hurt Report and the MAIDS report.

    Hurt Report (Extract)
    The failure of motorists to detect and recognize motorcycles in traffic is the predominating cause of motorcycle accidents... Conspicuty of the motorcycle is a critical factor in the multiple vehicle accidents, and accident involvement is significantly reduced by the use of motorcycle headlamps-on In daylight."

    A New Zealand study supported the Hurt Report's call for increased rider conspicuity, daytime headlights may reduce motorcycle injuries and death. The study found that riding with headlights on reduced the risk of a crash injury by 27%.

    On most new motorcycles in USA, the headlights turn on as soon as the bike is started as a legal requirement.

    this thread seems to be dead. no more factory inside pics? Storm is not available on McLeod road lahore from many weeks. I hardly saw 2 bikes there with a huge price tag.

    I heard on some other thread that the production Halted, I dont know why those guys never shared any Pictures of the assembly plant if they went in their?
