Default Ravi Piaggio - Can I buy it?

    Hello Friends,

I am interested to buy RAVI PIAGGIO 125CC. But mostly people said not to buy this due to the following reasons.

    1) No Resale value
    2) Limitation of spare parts
    3) Not every mechanic know this bike.

So friends please give your valueable comments and suggestions. Because I am going to finalize my bike in this week.

    Thanks.

Did you check the bike in market, is it available? If so what is the price tag?

Salam, I own Ravi-Piaggio 125 for 2 yrs now, Bike is a great thing to have, no resale issue now as bike has proven itself, spare parts are some time not available, and there are some good mechanics who know Suzuki 125/150 can do with this bike.
In my opinion go n get it

    Are you from lahore. ?

i have discussed from shop keepers who sale second hand bikes and they all said that this bike has no resale. you will get it in Rs. 95,000 and if after 1 year you will sale it you will get only 50000-60000

    so what to do now?

On which showrooms new bike is available?

Don't trust on those shopkeepers and showrooms owners. Some months ago I asked few of them price of used piaggio models. They were quoting me 85 to 90k for 2009 and 2010 models. While brand new bike was available for 80K at that time. I was like WTF.

And those are telling u about no resale bcoz they want to sell their own used bikes for a bit low price so they can earn good bucks from you and who sold the bike.

I don't own piaggio but in my opinion it doesn't have bad resale for sure it will be not like Honda resale but atleast it is good and better then suzuki.

Why you are concern with resale? If you will always think about resale then you have no other choice other then honda and chondas.

Well i own the bike for like 1year and 3 months, done more than 10k kilometers on it, and still didnt find myself in such a situation where i regretted my decision. There are many threads on ravi piaggio, If you are looking for some extensive research before buying, kindly go through them

After a long flamming discussions here on PW its confirmed that its ITALIAN TECHNOLOGY MANUFACTURED IN CHINA AND ASSEMBLED IN PAKISTAN.But the quality is very high as compared to other brands, i must say its equivalent to ATLAS HONDA, although some quality control is needed.

    Pros Of R Piaggio:

    1. Bigger Engine

    2. Sporty Look

    3. Comfortable suspension

    4. Owsome grip5. 5 gears

    6. Gear indicator

    7. Oil indicator

    8. Euro 2

    9. Good topspeed 125km/h

    10. Large fuel tank 15L

    11. Self start

    12. Dipper

Those are some unqiue features that most of the bikes in pakistan dont offer. Now coming onto your queries

    No resale value

Apart from ATLAS HONDA none other have resale value, Atlas Honda has only this plus point. People must be using senses rather traditions and considering its high demand nowadays i highly doubt that R piaggio has no resale value, I assume it must be selling as a hot cake

    Limitation of spare parts

+1, indeed shortage of spare parts, But mostly CG Deluxe spare parts fits easily into R Piaggio, You have to take care of plastic parts such as fenders, side skirts etc etc. Those will be hard to find. Apart from that you can find everything from local market

Not every mechanic know this bike.

Yes indeed, but in the end you wont take your bike to every mechanic, engine mechanism and working is same as of ATLAS HONDA CG125, so any good CG125 mechanic can tune it properly, there's no rocket science in it. Plus mostly 80% of the mechanics are self proclaimed ustad's.

I think CG 125 is a bettter choice , little expensive but spare parts are cheap and if its damaged easily reparable good accelration too ...

paiggo is manufactured in china as far as my poor knowldge works but has a quality of Europe and Italy just like our cell fones... I dont recomend it for begginers as its big and heavy!

By the way sharing this forum link here is a very lame try ... ROLF!

as other people said I will not recommend you these big new bikes if you are not tall... if smaller in height then go for CG 125, it has very low seating and you will be comfortable.. quality wise all are the same but Honda is high in price .. now choice is yours bro.. Happy riding!!

if you are up to enjoy new breeds for 125 do go for Super Power, Storm, or any other bike these new competitors totally worth it ... and a good value for money for youngsters and Looks ki tu kiya he baat hai!! ** SWAGGER ** counts big time!

bro Honda 125 is an old bike from world war 2. kindly dont recommend this AZAAB to people. Best bike in Pakistan at the moment is Italian Piaggio 125cc. It has self start and disk and what not. It is a complete bike. Ride it and you will forget CG. Atlas is shekhupura engine and Piaggio is Itlaian technology, it is way more superior. After Eid i am going to get this bike. Piaggio is s ahead turner and got performance to match. It is simply an amazing machine bro.

Dont need to say that , we all are equal here! ! I do own a paiggo 08 Registerd 09! add I did showed him its bright side, and only recomended CG in case if he is short in height and not tall or average in height, because few of my friends find it real hard to ride Sprinter, paiggo, GS 150 and all bikes which have reasonable wheel base and good riding height!! ...

I do think storm is best ride in the given price with proven quality.
