No Comparison between these two bikes.

Ravi Piaggio Storm 125 is the best machine ever in it's class while YD-125 is a new comer and waiting in show rooms for the ride.

Lol.. isi ki kami thi. The thread title made me laugh. And next thread will be yd125 vs honda deluxe.

Now coming onto topic, its to early to lay down any verdict at this initial stage.

hehehhe .... i hope this thread doesnt heat up... i was expecting it though.. i knew it wil be made sooner or later.. becuase people would be really interested to know what they should buy....

i inspected the yd12 my self at yamaha showroom this saturday and believe me its one neat promissing bike, any body who finds hard time to get a new paiggio i will suggest to give it a try ... and the reason is that we need inputs about it and how it roollls on the road, i did started it sounds like piaggio but little softer...

my initial guess are that it would perform good even having a underrated engine but it will be one nasty under dawg... so lets see..

please put these images on the main thread title... thanx.

haaah...thats what was left...since everyone was comparing it, so y make a new thread..
anyways there is no comparisin of paanch number china bike with italian piaggio technology. plus the price dyl is asking is way beyond imagination. I can spend 1 lac on piaggio but never on any china copy 125. Plus dyl ppl are true copy cats, lacking originality in their products. I would only say that dyl is a looser bike as compared to any other bike in the market.

No we can't say any bike a looser bike as it has certain qualities but we can say all this to the marketing team.

@Ibrahim Piaggio is china manufactured also so thats not an issue if YD125 is china
yes china mein bhi qualities hote hai in this case yes piaggio is better product from china
simply piaggio provides a different product with different good reliable engine
on the other hand YD125 is giving chinese replica copy of CG engine
thats one of the biggest criticism on YD125
and feature wise piaggio wins too

No one here owns or in surroundings YD125 we don't have any reviews, feedbacks so how we can compare the new launched bike with the old one. you have to wait for the feedback from the owners.

Like any motorcycle company the early models will be of the best quality. Then they will progressively reduce the quality like any other company.

That's why I said paanch number China. And piaggio is Italian technology, no matter where they assemble, but dyl aik to cheap China technology hay plus they have assembled it somewhere in chichu ki maliyaan. How can it ever face success??

First of all, RAVI Motorcycles is fooling Pakistani people by claiming the Storm 125 as Italian technology. People really need to do some research on this.
The engine you see in Storm 125 is also a Chinese replica of CG125 with a little bigger stroke and bigger fins on the cylinder and the manufacturer is Zongshen China, not Piaggio Italy. You don't see it as a copy of CG125 because it has different design on the outside? you need to look closer and deeper!

So both roll the Chinese engines based on Jap Tech.

Ravi claims that the Max Power of Storm 125 is 8.3 Kilowatt, whereas in real it has a max power of 7.2 Kilowatt.
Ravi claims the max torque as 9.2nm, which is also wrong. The max torque of Storm 125 is 8.6nm

    Now, the Comparison:

Ravi Piaggio has a a dry weight of 112Kg.
YD 125 has a dry weight of 98Kg.

Both have a max power of 7.2kw and a max torque of 8.6nm.
Which clearly shows that YD 125 can easily take the lead due to its smaller power to weight ratio.

If you want to get into more technical details, just let me know!

I will still prefer a RP 125 over a YD 125 any day.

Like i already said, people need to do some research on these things. Below, you can see the specifications of 125cc engine (BYQ125-2E) from Zongshen Piaggio.

    YD125 Vs Ravi Piaggio 125 -1183707

How come a 126 Centimeter Cube cylinder with a Bore x Stroke of 57 x 49.5 and compression ratio of 10.2:1 produces 7.2Kw Power and 8.6 nm of torque in China and then amazingly increases the performance to 8.3Kw and 9.2nm when it is imported in Pakistan.

Take a look: Basic parametersZongshen. Piaggio
