Default Suzuki 150 or Piaggio 150?

Last night one of my friend came to me asking to suggest him a new bike to buy. Well as i was oout of market from months so instead of me it was him who came up with new updates. He told me that piaggio has launched 150 cc bike and he is gonna buy that. But i myself having some doubts on it. I would still like to go for suzuki instead of ravi. Despite the shape its has nothing better than suzuki or does the newere model have any thing different?

cannot compare gs 150 with byq 150 of piaggio, as byq is not available yet
moreover, both are different categories, so cant compare

there is nothing called paiggio 150 your friend must be mislead by some one.. and yes there is a bike called Storm 125 which is a 125 class bike from Italian paiggio and they are getting it manufactured from China Just like your Iphone in your pocket and it is way way better then GS150 AKA Suzuki Mola.

-Talking with experience of using it for a half decade after a decade long use of AHL, pak suzuki motors.

    hope that helps.

Dear i think Both bikes are good and got its class, its useless to say that any one is better then other, it depends on you what do u want and needs, if you are going for looks so Piaggio is better option and will all options, Like self start, Petrol Tank capacity, Disk Breaks etc,,,,,. Similarly GS 150 has its own Qualities, so 1st think what you need then go for it,

Both Bikes are Out standing and Good.

let me clear some details here ... brothers...

GS150 is a class apart, it got ~11 BHP it got good road Cleareance it got every thing a user wants including a self start in a 1lac package.

having said that, lets keep the BYQ paiggio aside as its not in market so its useless to compare, lets compare it with Storm 125:

1 - they lamest thing one would say is its from CHINA (get a life you Nokia is from China too so thats the stupid most way of measuremnt of quality)

    2 - It is also 11BHP bike
3 - It offers Disc Braking
4 - it Offers better tyres for quality Road Grip (Imagine the skinny tyre which comes with GS)
5 - it can Cruise on long tours at high speeds
6 - it has dippers and light switches
7 - It has intelligent self (wont self start if in gear and clutch not engaged )
8 - Self adjusting auto Valves and tappets
9 - Clear winner in fuel Economy (well known to have good mileage)
10 - gear indicator, fuel gauge, you name it its there....
11 - Add off course its a direct and clear winner in modernized looks and shape.

all the point which I mentioned above are not present in GS and most of the time people buy a GS and then add these qualities to it and it costs a lot and needs a lot of time specially to make it a disc braking bike, where as paiggio offers it in only 1lac package.

All in All both bikes are Good but Storm Gives you more in a same price.

SOME POWER SHOW DOWN from GS and RP :

    @vickytulla
-baqi to theek hai lekin GS150 aka Mola 12BHP bike hai.
-Aur agar ravi high speed pe cruise karti hai to GS konsa 80Km/h pe ja ke ruk jati hai
-Self adjusting auto Valves and tappets?? isn't it the same in GS????
-Fuel economy?? didn't omer get around 30Km/lit on his speed trip from ISL to Lahore? It's the same i get on my GS when cruising @100Km/h.

Google didn't come here and boast about the new technology in this bike, YOU did. By the way, a few years ago people were comparing these two totally different bikes and I checked Google, I could not find any technical details about the engine of this 150cc bike, but that it had a Max Speed of around 90km/h.

The most I found from http://infohighlight.info/motorcycle...hinese-market/ is:
    Code:
    Specification
     Engine: BYQ161FMJ
     Displacement: 144.6 cc
     Bore x Stroke: 61.0 ? 49.5 mm
     Compression Ratio: 8.6:1
     Ignition: CDI
     Starter: Electronic / kick
     Transmission: 5-Speed Constant Mesh
     Max Torque: 9.5 Nm / 7500 rpm
     Max Power: 9.6 kW / 9500 rpm
     Max speed: ≥ 85 km / h
     Max Load: 150 kg
     Front Wheel: 2.75-17
     Rear Wheel: 110-80 ? 17
     Front Break: Disc
     Rear Break: Drum
     LxWxH: 2010 ? 730 ? 1070 mm
     Wheel Base: 1325 mm
     Fuel tank capacity: 17l
So, once again, which new technology does Piaggio 150 have?
