Bike Received on 16-2-2014 from Islamabad :
Checked it and pushed it to limits while heading home.

What about engine noise does it make any drivetrain sounds? Like gs? I love the whining sounds from a big engine's gearbox

As per my poor knowledge only GD110 has imported engine, but in the coming years when the bike would be locally manufactured then its quality would be sub-standard and low like GS.

Im sure that besides the engine the GS is total pakistani production(i own one, and the quality sucks). I dont think pak suzuki have engine manufacuring facilities right now. Plus spare parts always have tag "made in thailand" on them. Pata nai kya chal raha hai

The so called Japanese AHL bikes are also Made In Pakistan now. The new models line-up is just pathetic with lots of mechanical faults. CG, Pridor and Dream series has gear-box, clutch cam and emission control device problem. Made in Thailand tag hahhh this is just a tact to attract the customers to make them sure that they are buying genuine parts. As AHL has Made in Japan tag on every single spare part.

GS' engine is of very good quality. If Pak Suzuki had engine manufacturing facilities, it would be as good as the brakes, wiring etcetra.

GS 150 engines are made in Pakistan. The molding machines which make up the engine parts such as valves, cylinders, shafts, etc are Japanese or Taiwan. If D.S. Motors can do it in Pakistan, Pak Suzuki can as well. Check http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxi...auto&start=312

There is very little difference between engines produced here in the homeland and the imported ones.

You have to realize that engines (parts) are molded in the molding machines. You put aluminum alloys in it and it molds you the desired parts.

Yes, they can differ in assembly or alloy quality but more or less, they are made with same machines.

Till 2007 they were assembling from Malaysia but after that they are making it on local plant, but my mechanic still claims the carburetor is imported. My cousin was a owner of 5S in Quetta but last year he moved to Canada. So I have no exact information regarding AHL spare parts whether Japanese, Chinese, Malaysian or Pakistani.
